Dr. Alok Satsangi is the Director of NSHM Knowledge Campus, Durgapur. He did MBA, Mphil, PGDDM, and Ph.D. He led the academics and operations of several institutes. His interests lie in problem resolution and corporate tie-ups. Several research papers were published under his name. He is a recipient of Dr. Ambedkar National Award, Media Excellence Award, Corporate Social responsibility Award, and Academic excellence award. 


What is your experience in the education industry?

“Mentor educators and create lesson plans for students”

Our education system is student-centric. I have seen competencies in the administration, teaching, and development of a productive student. We focused on environments to maximize the learning experience. The campus emphasizes guiding and mentoring educators in creating lesson plans and student assessments. It is assigned based on the state learning regulations.


What challenges do you face as the director of the NSHM knowledge campus?

“To create a sense of belongingness in the department”

One of the primary challenges that I faced is to create a sense of belongingness in the department. It is also seen in institutions as a whole. We have successfully overcome this challenge today. The students and previous alumni maintain a strong relationship with the campus. 


How do you establish a relationship with the students?

“Available through email and phone for the queries of students”

The Whatsapp group is available for each program year among the students. I am regularly in touch with the students through this group. Every student on the campus registered under TCS Ion and they contacted me with this platform. I am also available by email and phone from the first day of the course for students' queries.

What efforts do you plan to establish a successful college?

“Implement tie-ups with international agencies and develop coordination in the campus”

The success of any institution lies in the dedication associated with every individual in the institution. It is starting with faculty members, staff, technicians, and students. We plan to develop international tie-ups and research assistance for faculty development.


How do you create a student-centric environment in NSHM college?

“Encourage students for internships, group projects, and seminars”

We encourage every student on the campus for internships, group projects, and seminars. Our candidates are associated with the industry during the lockdown period. The learning of students is personalized and competency-based. They have ownership in their learning.


How do you encourage an ideal college environment culture?

“Develop a positive culture and environment among students and faculties”

My ideal college environment is to develop a positive culture. The efforts are translated into positive experiences for staff and students. We implement many positive reinforcements for both the faculty and students. The involvement of parents, alumni, and management is motivated. Our primary importance is discipline. 


How do you look at students' growth through placement opportunities in college?

“Provide mentorship and placement opportunities for pupils”

The specified professors and industry professionals give mentor classes to students. It helps them to build an industry-oriented mind. The CLC classes and English tutorial classes from the first semester. The campus offers multiple placement opportunities to candidates. We are looking forward to international placements at several levels.


What are the plans for NSHM Campus for the next few years?

“Aim to an international level education in the industry”

We decide to become one of the leaders in the education industry in the upcoming years. It is a new learning pedagogy. Our primary aim is to provide international-level education for students' growth and career.
