What is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?
“Being a solution provider and having the capability to guide”
Well, being a Principal of pharmacy college, I would figure leadership not only as a matter of leading the department. I feel leadership can be achieved if you know how to march shoulder to shoulder with your peers and colleagues. It also involves motivating everyone to think in the interests of the institution as a whole and develop themselves. Lastly, it is about taking the responsibility of your team.
How do you strategize about the key programs and plans for the marketing and administration of your school?
“Intend to educate not only students but also parents about the future prospects”
The multidimensional approach that our programs have like a student of a particular course can opt for govt. or private jobs or entrepreneurship or business of any scale. This would help them understand the benefits of a program because most people are devoid of complete information which becomes a hindrance in their decision making. Apart from this, the administration is interacting with nearby industry and government organizations like CIMAP to help students develop skills to face the future challenges.
How does the curriculum of your college ensure the best practice of industry?
“Not just academics, but an overall development”
We follow the curriculum as per PCI (Pharmacy Council of India). The training programs, workshops, industrial visits, tie-up with industries, guest lectures from industry experts give our students hands-on experience and improve their chances of a bright career in the future. Apart from this, the students are taught soft skills so that language, etc. does not become a hindrance to them.

Any insights into how your college could be more welcoming to students of different races or economic backgrounds?
“No room for segregation on the basis of race, caste, or economic backgrounds”
The core focus remains in imparting the best education and developing socially responsible ethical persons along with professional excellence. At Amrapali each and every eligible scholar is welcome. Our campus provides equal opportunities to all students with regards to studies, sports, extracurricular and co-curricular activities.
What was your vision for the college? Has it evolved, and how far along in implementing that vision are you?
“More of practical knowledge apart from the bookish one”
I already had quite a bit of information about the college when I first came here. Since it is a new department, my vision was to develop my department which would just not serve the purpose of imparting bookish knowledge. It was more like providing practical knowledge, industrial tours to learn on the basis of learning by seeing, guest lectures by industry experts, etc. It has definitely evolved, despite the country passing through COVID 19 pandemic. Since it is a continuous process, it will not be wise to measure on a time scale but yes keeping in mind the current situation we have done a lot and will continuously keep progressing.
What would you like people to know about your college they may not know?
“Designing training programs to bridge the industry-academia gap”
Amrapali Group of Institutes is an institution that not only focuses on academics but emphasizes on the holistic development of the student. We are interacting with industries as well as young entrepreneurs to act as mentors for our students. Additionally, we are encouraging students to engage in research at the undergraduate level. Pharma students are also involved in health awareness programs for nearby schools as well as villages.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?
“Equip yourselves with skills that makes one self-reliant”
Today’s youth is quite active and due to emerging new technologies daily, they have access to a world of information. I mentioned here information because having information and knowledge are two different things. Today, though the youth is sitting on a pile of information how much of that information can actually contribute to knowledge is important. Most importantly I would suggest they first identify their strengths and work on them, do not hesitate to discuss with relevant people. For career counseling, they are free to move to our campus and discuss with experts so that they can suggest the best possible options for them.
