Malwa College

Dr. Bushra Malik is designated as the Group Director of Malwa College. She has an experience of 20 years in academics. She has done her Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Jiwaji University and has published various research papers in national journals of repute.

In an exclusive interview with Rishabh, she gives her opinion on education sector and also shares with us information on her institute. She has a standalone personality. So, let us have a look at her interview.

Education sector has various job opportunities

"No one should teach who is not in love with teaching"- says Dr. Bushra. Teaching is one job in the world that requires you to be innovative and informative. As demanding as this job is, it is very satisfying too. The best thing I feel about this job is the happiness a teacher feels when their student does good in their life.

Also, I have a suggestion for aspirants who cannot teach and yet wants to be a part of this industry. This sector is vast, and besides teaching, there are plenty of options from which one can choose from. A non-teaching job in the education sector is the Education Support role; one can always apply for it.

A good leader encourages others to do well

If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, then you are a true leader. The individual is fully aware of its team strengths and utilizes them accordingly.

In the past, the leader followed a dictatorship style. Wherein, they wanted their team to accept their decisions and exchange of ideas did not happen. This style has changed over time. In today's world, leadership is more about giving an equal chance to express one's feelings and to have a say in decision making. According to me, a leader who follows a democratic leadership style is more appreciated in society.

The most difficult thing is building a curriculum’s layout

According to me, the most challenging thing is designing and deciding the curriculum’s layout. Here, the industry experts along with the academics’ people, sit together and forms the syllabi of each program offered at Malwa. This approach helps us to prepare the students for the real industry.

For this, we have established a department called the Board of Studies. Listed below are the steps opted while preparing the syllabi:

  • The Board of Studies conference is organized every academic year.
  • The industry experts and academicians scrutinize the curriculum.
  • They give suggestions and feedbacks according to the latest trends in the industry.
  • After this, these suggestions are sent to the governing council. And then the council analysis each aspect and includes the same as per the requirements.

We have good placement records

According to me, today's student is more aware of their goals. When they search for a college, the first thing that they see is the placement record or statistics. I want each aspiring student to know that we have strong industry connections with the best MNCs like Godrej, L&T, Paytm, TATA Technologies and many more. We assure to train the students to make them employable in the best way possible.

Student-management relationship is the secret to positive interaction

I believe 'communication and trust are the main ingredients for having a good relationship'. I follow an open-door policy i.e. my doors are always open to my students as I love interacting with them. I never miss the chance of seeing the young mind working for themselves, on themselves and for the society at large. Hence, I visit the laboratories and classrooms very often. This gives me an insight into the creativity that these youngsters come up with.
