Dr. Sai Krushna Padi is the Dean at Siddhartha Institute of Pharmacy (SIP) Hyderabad. He has been a guide to his students and has specialized in Pharmacy. He holds a Ph D. He has been in the educational sector for over a decade and is continuously inspiring students towards the path of accomplishment.

What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

“Noble profession to contribute to the development of the Nation as a great service to the community”

 Pharmacy is a noble profession. We are related directly to the healthcare of the society. In addition to this educating the budding pharmacist whether may it be clinical or industrial, gives a new height of satisfaction so directly or indirectly serving mankind through education is the main goal to be connected with the education sector. 

What is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style? 

“Teamwork and democratic leadership for better decision making and smooth working”

My team is committed to working in a structured and systematic approach. We at SIP follow Good Education Practices to avail the optimum quality. Most of my team members know their strengths and thereby work with a positively driven spirit by following the code of ethics. I being a leader try to maintain the integrity influence by the team towards the goal and never hesitates to show gratitude to all the stakeholders of the Institution. The education systems in India and other foreign countries are structured very differently.

In your experience, what can an inbound student gain from studying here in your institute in the pharmacy department?

“Medical works together with unity at any derivative to accomplish success in both nationally and internationally”

Pharmacy education in India is segmented into many sections whereas in developed countries the meaning of Pharmacy education is specialized mainly into pharmacy practice and a few other minor segments. At SIP, we focus on the overall development of the student starting from the fundamental knowledge of pharmaceutical sciences to the application perspective, as a result of which a student gets positively motivated and confident concerning face the challenges globally.

How does the curriculum of Siddhartha Institute of Pharmacy, Hyderabad ensure the best practice of the industry?

We conduct separate guest lecturers inviting eminent persons from academia and industries to fill the gap so that our students will be well trained and skilled to meet the required challenges in the Industry. Further, we encourage and conduct industrial visits, training, and internships in industries for all the students so that our students will be aware of the industrial practices and they will be confident to meet the required protocols in their professional life. 

What do you think should be the Institute’s top priority over the next 5 years?

We want to be the Centre of excellence and one of the best colleges in the country. We are planning to open Pharm. D as well as Post-graduation courses in Pharmaceutical Sciences. We also want to conduct research and development consultant projects for industries by best utilizing our state of the art infrastructure and intellectual team.
