Mr. Deepak Gupta is currently working as the Chairperson of Heights Institute of Fashion and Technology, Jaipur (HIFT Team) since 2003. He is being associated with the fashion and design industry for the last 35 years. Mr. Gupta is a successful entrepreneur and a fashion consultant. With this, he has played a role in eminent member of various jury in many National and International events. He is actively associated with many social and cultural organisations across India.

In an exclusive interview with collegedunia.com, Mr. Gupta talks about his prestigious institute and shares his experience in the education industry.

Experience in Education Industry

I have been associated with education industry for the past 16 years and have experienced a variety of emotions in terms of struggle, challenges and success. In my opinion, being associated to this field not only helps you to impart knowledge and experience to the aspirants but it also helps in your own personal growth. One gets to interact with the young minds and get to understand their thought process. All of this helps you to evolve as a human being.

Leadership Style of Mr. Gupta

I strictly believe that a leader must have proper and compelling attitude towards his job. A good leader is the one who sets an example for his/her colleagues and they are inspired to follow the same lines as well. Apart from this, he/ she must have a voice that is bold and strong, but it is also important to be a good listener as well.

HIFT has industry-oriented curriculum

It is essential to adopt the best of the curriculum to compete in this modern and competitive world. With this, it is necessary to have qualified faculty to justify the course curriculum is also essential. We, at Heights Institute of Fashion and Technology, have industry oriented professional trainers, which helps the students to be industry focused with a higher rate of acceptance in the market.

Relationship with the Students

Students are the core of any educational institution, and it is inevitable not to look after them. For maintaining a close relationship, the Institute has appointed a special relationship manager who looks after the issues related to the students and continuously update me about the same. However, I am easily approachable in the Institute for 8 hours and 24 hours on my phone. The students can meet me in my office without hesitating in case of any unresolved issues.

Goals for the Institute

I set my goals year by year and define them accordingly. By doing so, I can achieve the set targets quickly and in time. Currently, I am planning to reach HIFT as the top rated out of the best institute of India.

Message to the Young Generations

I must say that students are the dynamic force of our nation. With the increasing level of competition in the world, they should focus on their career with more of practical approach. They should set their own goals and define a clear strategy to achieve the same.
