Plaksha announces ‘Bharti Scholarship’ to empower students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds

Plaksha, an upcoming university backed by leading technology entrepreneurs, business leaders and corporates, today announced the prestigious ‘Bharti Scholarship’ for undergraduate students. Launched in association with Bharti Foundation with an aim of going beyond a financial commitment, Bharti Scholarship will be extended to exceptional students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds to pursue full-time undergraduate studies at Plaksha. The scholarship also aims to promote women in technology. 

Introduced with a vision to go beyond financial commitment, it offers a transformational experience for students to develop academically and professionally. The scholarship will be awarded on an annual basis to deserving candidates subject to eligibility through a stringent selection process. As part of this scholarship, the recipients known as “Bharti Scholars”, will be eligible for:
 

  • Student mentoring program by senior faculty and industry leaders during the first year.  

  • Participation in Exchange Programs with Global Universities to broaden their horizon with projects, research, etc. 

  • Lifelong fellowship, visit Plaksha campus anytime, attend conferences that cover a wide range of topics and volunteer at Alumni events

About Bharti Foundation:

Bharti Foundation was set up in the year 2000 as the philanthropic arm of Bharti Enterprises. It implements and supports programs in primary, secondary and higher education as well as sanitation. Since 2006, the flagship Satya Bharti School Program has been providing free quality education to thousands of underprivileged children in 183 schools in rural areas across six states, with a focus on the girl child.
