Goa University is now preparing to offer short-term courses on India's Democratic System and Poll Process. The courses will be offered to students from the next academic session 2021-2022.
Goa University has introduced Democracy and Electoral Management in India short-term courses focused on the country’s democratic systems in collaboration with the Chief Electoral Officer. The program will be offered to students through online mode.

Under this collaboration, the Chief Electoral Officer and Goa University will facilitate the program for a duration of one month, from November 22 to December 22, 2021. The collaborative program will be managed and offered by the university's department of political science.

GU Democracy and Electoral Management in India Course 2021 aims to introduce students to the concept of India's democracy and the function and features of the largest electrical machinery in the world.
The Goa University Course 2021 on India's Democratic System and Poll Process will not only include theoretical concepts but will also offer students an opportunity to take part in hands-on training on working electrical machines, EVM.
While talking about the course credits, the Goa University officials said, "Certificate of participation to be provided to all completing basic class requirements. All lectures will be available on YouTube, with an opportunity for live interaction with resource persons".
"For members of the public, government officials, and election officials, this is a non-credit course and they will be required to only answer the MCQ question at the end of the course, which they have to successfully clear to be eligible for certificate" GU official further added.
