IIM Indore Inks MOU with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited; Check Details Here


New Delhi: IIM Indore has inked a MOU with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited. The three-year-old MoU's objectives include conducting specialised certificate training programmes, conducting in-depth research in a few particular, distinctive areas of the aerospace and defence industry, and creating frameworks and academic materials.

To improve the interaction between business and academics, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and IIM Indore have teamed together. On November 4, 2022, the MoU was signed by Professor Himanshu Rai, Director of IIM Indore, and Alok Verma, Director (HR), of HAL. The MoU, which is valid for three years, aims to conduct specialised certificate training programmes, carry out in-depth research in a few particular, distinctive areas of the aerospace and defence industry, and create frameworks and academic documents (Research papers, Case studies, and Study Articles).

Professor Himanshu Rai stated that HAL and HMA have a thorough awareness of the needs for training and the demands for competence development of workers at all levels. "This is in line with our aim to support national development and provide contextually relevant courses at the highest levels of academic excellence. We intend to adopt ground-breaking concepts while also providing training for HAL officials in the fields of military and aviation, he said.

The customized programmes, he continued, would concentrate on developing leadership skills, competency-based skills, advanced strategic management, advanced communication management, supply chain management for the aerospace industry, data analytics, and advanced operations management. Professor Rai stated, "We also propose to offer specialised certificate programmes for the HAL officers in partnership with our foreign partner colleges, in addition to other theme-based research and live projects for EPGP and PGPHRM participants at IIM Indore.

IIM Indore, which has Triple Crown accreditation from AMBA, AACSB, and EQUIS, is one of the finest business schools in India, according to Verma, who expressed joy at working with the institution. IIM Indore offers outstanding professors who are experts in a variety of management fields. This partnership would provide enormous benefits for HAL because the well-designed, industry-relevant training will help our officers and improve their managerial abilities, he said.

The development of joint case studies, learning tales, frameworks, research papers, and articles to support learning activities at both enterprises is also covered under the MoU, he continued. After the programme is over, participants will get a certificate of participation. Certificates would be issued in accordance with IIM Indore's certificate-issuing standards.
