• Minimum 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade B in the UGC 7 point scale on Master's degrees.
• For candidates from SC/ST/PH, a relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade is applicable
• In addition to the above, the candidates must have passed GATE/NET within the last 5 years.

• The Ph.D. Entrance Test must be passed by those who are qualified (PET)
• The DRC will test the successful applicants (those who are eligible and will pass the entrance test or are exempt in some other way) through a seminar, a presentation, or an interview.
