NIA Jaipur PhD Admission 2022 is Ongoing; Last Date to Apply is May 31

New Delhi: NIA Jaipur PhD Admission has begun the application process for the current academic cycle of 2022-23. Aspiring candidates can submit the online application form through the official portal, i.e. nia.nic.in. 

National Institute of Ayurveda (NIA), Deemed to be University, Jaipur offers PhD programmes in 14 specialities of Ayurveda. Candidates seeking admission to the programme can submit their applications till May 31, 2022. 

Students interested in NIA Admission 2022, can apply to this PhD programme and appear for the entrance examination followed by interview. Students can also join the dual degree programme from NIA and AcSIR (Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research). In that case, NIA will be the home institute and AcSIR will be the host institute.

NIA Jaipur PhD Admission 2022: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must take a look at the below mentioned eligibility criteria before applying to the course:

• Aspiring candidates must have a MD/ MS Degree in Ayurveda from any institute recognised by CCIM
• Candidates must have completed their PG degrees by May 31, 2022
• Foreign nationals candidates must apply through ICSSR

NIA Jaipur PhD Admission 2022: Selection Process

Candidates will be selected through the following steps:

• Firstly the applicants are shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the entrance test conducted by the institute. The test includes 100 MCQ type questions. There will be 60 subject specific, 25 research methodology and statistic based, 10 general knowledge based and 5 computer knowledge based questions. The duration is 90 minutes and there will be negative marking for wrong answer
• Candidates who manage to score 50% (45% for SC/ ST/ PwD students) will be eligible for interview
• Candidates will have to prepare a 8-10 minutes long presentation on their research proposals
• Final selection is based on the overall performance
• Candidates with NET/ JRF/ AYUSH-NET will be eligible for direct interview

Candidates can submit the forms through online or offline more. Here are the steps they must follow:

To apply through offline mode, candidates need to download the official form and fill it properly. Then they need to send the filled in form, payment receipt and required documents to the NIA Jaipur Admission office via speed post within the last date.

NIA Jaipur PhD Admission 2022: Fellowship

Selected PhD students can further apply for fellowship. The fellowship is awarded for 2 years in general. The monthly stipend provided as per this is INR 50,315 for the first year and INR 51,990 for the second year.
