NIFT has released the detailed rules and guidelines for the remote-proctored NIFT 2022, which is scheduled to be held on February 6, 2022.
The remote-proctored NIFT 2022 exam is scheduled to be held online, as a result, candidates appearing for the NIFT 2022 exam will have to follow certain rules and guidelines.
Among the minimum requirements for taking the remotely administered exam, the candidate must mandatorily have a desktop/ laptop, and an android mobile phone for additional monitoring from the rear.
According to the rules, the NIFT 2022 exam can be taken using Google Chrome Browser on Windows PC/laptop with a working camera and microphone.
Following are the rules and guidelines that should be strictly followed by the candidates taking the remote-proctored NIFT 2022 exam.
- Candidates are required to login 60 minutes before the commencement of NIFT 2022 exam, to ensure smooth verification.
- Once the candidate logs in, they are required to select the paper and complete the camera verification on the laptop/PC.
- Candidates must enter a roll number and password sent on mail or mentioned on the NIFT 2022 admit card for logging in to the entrance exam system.
- Candidates must ensure that the place where the exam is being taken has proper lighting and no other member should enter the place while the exam is being held.
- If any candidate indulges in any unfair practice like malpractice, then the AI-enabled system or the online invigilator will intervene and cancel the NIFT 2022 exam immediately.
Furthermore, the notification revealed that candidates will not be permitted to take toilet breaks during the exam. However, they are allowed to drink water and keep a water bottle along with them.
About NIFT 2022 Exam
The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) conducts the NIFT entrance exam to shortlist aspirants for admission to its design programs such as Bachelor of Design (BDes), Bachelor of Fashion Technology (BFTech), Master of Design (MDes), Master of Fashion Management (MFM) and Master of Fashion Technology (MFTech).
NIFT 2022 entrance exam is three-tiered in its format for BDes and MDes course admissions. As part of the NIFT entrance exam 2022 for BDes and MDes admission, candidates have to first appear for Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT).
Based on the CAT and GAT scores, candidates are shortlisted for a Situation Test (B.Des) and GD/PI (M.Des). However, BFTech, MFTech, and MFM aspirants need to only appear in the GAT test. The institute will shortly release the NIFT 2022 admit card on January 29, 2022.
