NIT Andhra Pradesh Organizes Online Training on Data-Driven Strategies in Smart Power System and Control 2021; Read Details Here

National Institute of Technology (NIT) Andhra Pradesh organised a five-day online training event in ‘Data-Driven Strategies in Smart Power System and Control-2021’, on November 22, which will conclude today, November 26, 2021.

NIT Andhra Pradesh is working towards providing a platform for researchers on data-driven strategies in smart power systems.

The event was named as “Data-Driven Strategies in Smart Power Systems and Control-2021.” The event was organized under AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy, which intends to spread awareness of data-driven strategies and its frameworks.

Data-driven strategies are interdisciplinary and dynamic in nature and are verily used in different fields including smart grids, systems, power system stability and security, microgrids, renewable energy, and energy management systems.

Professor CSP Rao, Director, NIT Andhra Pradesh said that in today's fast-paced world, impactful algorithms have artificial intelligence at its core, for which electrical engineering is no exception. As a result, such AI algorithms are vital to bridge the gap between raising electrical energy demand and depleting energy sources.

Professor DM Vinod Kumar, department of electrical engineering in NIT Warangal, who delivered the inaugural lecture on ‘Modern Techniques in Smart Power System’, said that the transition of conventional grid to smart grids has many challenges specifically in the Indian scenario.

Consequently, communication and advanced computational technologies are required to produce an end-to-end cyber-enabled electric power system, he said

The five-day workshop of NIT Andhra Pradesh aims to spread awareness of the data-driven methods in smart power systems and controlling applications.
