No, you should prefer MNNIT for CSE. It is better compared to IIT Mandi. You can benefit a lot from the competitive coding culture on the MNNIT campus. The seniors are very helpful. You will get to learn many useful coding hacks from them. It offers good placement opportunities as well. According to 2021 placement highlights, MNNIT CSE average CTC is INR 19.08 LPA. 

Both are really good colleges. They are considered as the top 2 NITs of North India.

There isn’t much strictness for freshers. MNNIT is spread over 220 acres, but its hostels are in a poor condition. Even second year students are expected to live in four seater rooms. The authorities are strict towards freshers till the fresher party.

1. Placements- In terms of placements, MNNIT has a slight edge over MNIT Jaipur. This year, 94.47% B.Tech CS students were successfully placed from MNNIT Allahabad. The average package for them was 27.57 LPA, and the highest package was 1.35 CPA.
