Around 80 waitlisted candidates manage to clear on average in IPM IIM Indore. The main reason is that most students consider IPM as another option like engineering. The course is good and not exaggerated.
The curriculum has been updated to remove the courses that were of little importance and focus more on core subjects like Maths, Statistics, and Economics. The IPM program is a relatively new course but has witnessed great improvements in the past few years. Nothing is stopping it from climbing the ladder higher.
Whether a course is suitable for a person depends solely on what he wants from the course and his priorities. You cannot generalize a course's value. Yet, in my opinion, it’s a course worth doing for everyone. Some points that speak in favor of this program are
So IIM Bodh Gaya in general and its IPM program especially is worth taking.
IIM Indore follows quality indices and has a 4.33-pointer grading system. Crossing 4 CGPA would mean you’re among the top 1% of your class which is a pretty huge deal. Now, is it impossible to score 4 or above grades? The simple answer is no which makes sense cause nothing is impossible right?
But you need to realize that it’s a relative grading system so in order to top the class you need to play your cards right. Analyze the professors and don’t compromise on any component be it class participation, quizzes or presentations. Get an A+ atleast in 80% of your subjects and you’re good to go.
One of my friends recently graduated from IIM Indore and according to her, there is an exit option after you complete 3-years of the IPM program. On the successful completion of the course, you will receive your B.A degree from the foundation of Management by IIM Indore, if you wish to leave.
There is also an option of a sabbatical for up to 2 years for select students for IPM.
IIM Rohtak is better if you want to join IPM there and graduate with a BBA after three years.
A BBA from IIM Rohtak is unquestionably more valuable than a BBA from NMIMS, Mumbai because the course curriculum and pedagogy are superior at IIMs, which use a trimester system rather than the traditional semester system used at NMIMS.
The placements will be similar between the two. However, NMIMS wins because, with only a BBA, you'd have to apply off-campus if you wanted to be placed at IIM Rohtak, as there are no placements for BBA students.
Keeping everything in mind, you should prioritize IIM Rohtak over NMIMS because of the IIM brand and because it is a less expensive option. At the end of the day, you still have the option of pursuing an MBA at IIM Rohtak, which you do not have at NMIMS, and CAT can be quite unpredictable and difficult.
IIM Indore IPM exam, like any other competitive exam, can be challenging for some students. This answer is section-wise and gives an idea of the level of difficulty in each section.
The Verbal Ability section is said to be the easiest section of the exam. The section consists mainly of reading comprehension questions and other types of questions such as “odd one out” and “fill in the most suitable word”. If you read habitually, it should make this portion easier. To increase reading skills, others should read newspapers daily.
The Quantitative Ability section is considered to be a bit tough in comparison to the Verbal Ability section. The questions are mainly from Algebra and Coordinate Geometry from the Class 11-12 curriculum. A few questions from Calculus and Statistics are also included. This section can be the make-or-break section for many students as it requires a lot of practice and knowledge of the basic concepts. It is recommended to practice NCERT solutions and move on to slightly harder books to improve one's skills in this section.
In conclusion, while the difficulty level of the IIM Indore IPM exam can be subjective, it is important to prepare well and have a good understanding of the basic concepts to crack the exam.
