Is it very tough to score more than 8 GPA in CSE at RGPV University?

RS
Rakesh Singh Posted On : November 5th, 2022
Lives in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh

The checking pattern in RGPV is much more flexible than that of other universities. In fact, it’s not difficult to score decent marks in RGPV exams.

The paper comprises -

  • 2 questions for 2 marks

  • 1 question for 3 marks

  • 1 question for 7 marks with an alternative option.

Listed below are some of the finest strategies that will help you score fairly well:

  1. Write at least 1 page for 2 marks questions, 1.5-2 pages for 3 marks, and 3-5 pages for 7 marks.

  2. Include diagrams, graphs, flowcharts, and tabulated data as much as possible.

  3. Use bullet points.

  4. Use a new page for every new answer.

  5. Complete your assignments on time.

In reality, scoring marks at RGPV university is not as difficult as getting placements. Focus more on improving your skills than on scoring high marks. Scoring a CGPA above 7.5 is enough for getting eligibility in various company placement rounds.

Is Karunya university entrance examination difficult?

RD
Rupanjali Dasgupta Posted On : September 15th, 2021
B.Tech Mechanical Engineering & Digital Marketing ,Karunya University (2017)

The entrance examination conducted by Karunya University is not that difficult. My friend scored 80 marks in the JEE Main examinations. The syllabus includes a few additional topics that are not included in the curriculum of classes 11th and 12th in the Indian education system.

He attempted the examination and started with the section of mathematics. After he attempted a few questions from the mathematics sections, he moved to the physics section. He was not able to crack the solutions for many of the questions from the section of physics. However, He still kept trying and successfully solved around 70 percent of the questions from Physics. For his set, the section of Chemistry was extremely difficult. He attempted 50% of the questions from the Chemistry section.

The next section he attempted was of logical reasoning. He solved all the questions from this section leaving out around 1-2 questions. Then he continued his examination with the Ethics section. He answered 2 questions out of 10 and from them one was a guess.

He found the examination to be pretty easy. He later found out from someone that only students who have secured a rank above 1000 in the examination would be considered for the admission process of the university.

SG
Subhash Garg Posted On : January 20th, 2021

There are several books you can refer to for the preparation of JEE Main and BITSAT exams. But the most important thing to do is to focus on NCERTs and practice online mock tests, previous year question papers, and question banks for every subject. It is equally important to study the exam pattern, type of questions, and syllabus of JEE Main and BITSAT before purchasing any reference book.

Subjectwise Books for JEE Main and BITSAT-

Physics:

  • Concepts of Physics by H.C. Verma: The best book for Physics. The book contains several practice questions for you to solve.
  • Fundamental Physics by Halliday, Resnick, and Walker: It contains all the relevant topics.
  • Understanding Physics by DC Pandey: This is the ideal book for JEE entrances; it covers all the relevant questions and topics.
  • Prep Guide to BITSAT by Arihant publications is a good book for BITSAT.

Chemistry:

  • Physical Chemistry: Modern Approach to Chemical Calculations by RC Mukherjee. It contains several practice questions for your reference.
  • Organic Chemistry: A book by Paula Y. Bruice: It is the best for clearing doubts and building a strong foundation in Organic Chemistry.
  • Inorganic Chemistry: Concise Inorganic Chemistry by J.D.Lee: The book covers all the relevant topics and contains several questions
  • The Cengage set of 6 books by KS Verma.

Mathematics:

  • New Pattern JEE Mathematics Arihant Publications by SK Goyal.
  • Algebra, Different Calculus, Integral Calculus, Vector, and 3D Geometry by Arihant Publication.
  • A problem book in mathematical Analysis by G.N. Berman
  • Mathematics for JEE Advanced by G.Tewani

I am a 2nd Year Undergraduate student of IIT Kharagpur. How I should prepare for this exam within the two upcoming years of my life?

SG
Senjuti Gupta Posted On : March 28th, 2023
studied at IIT Kgp

Being a 2nd-year student is too early to start preparing for UPSC CSE. You might tire yourself out and when the actual time comes to outperform, you might not have the energy left to cope. Here are some guidelines that might help you prepare for this exam well in advance.

  • Know your CSE syllabus well
  • Read NCERT books of History, Political Science, Geography, and Economics from classes 6-12. This will broaden your knowledge base and you will become well aware of economic policies which can be adopted in a particular social sector.
  • Another great way is to start reading the newspaper on a daily basis. Keep yourself well acquainted with the happenings in your country in the economic and other sectors. Develop your own opinions on the various issues prevailing in society.

However, just reading NCERTs will not suffice for the exam. There are some additional standard books that you need to master to prepare well for your UPSC CSE exam.

  • Bipin Chandra's India's Struggle for Independence and History of Modern India.
  • M. Laxmikanth is the bible of Indian polity.
  • Indian Economy by Ramesh Singh for economics
  • Challenge and Strategy: Rethinking India's Foreign Policy.
  • Environment & Ecology: Biodiversity, Climate Change, and Disaster Management by Majid Hussain

These books will help you become well-versed in various topics asked in UPSC CSE.

The major prerequisites for preparing for the UPSC CSE exam are NCERTs, the standard books I have mentioned, and The Hindu newspaper. These will help you ace the exam. Additionally, you can work for NGOs to get a sound knowledge of prevailing issues, and practice writing answers and you will be well on your way.

If I got 17 marks in a exam and all my papers are cleared so is that possible that I will get 40 marks grace (AKTU)?

AA
Addivita Agarwal Posted On : November 17th, 2022
B.Tech. in Computer Science from Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (Graduated 2019)

No, you only get a total of 5 grace marks provided that your internal marks are 30 out of 50.

So for instance you scored 30 out of 50 in internals,

And 25 out of 100 in externals,

Then 5 grace marks will be given and you will be cleared in that semester.
