Studies ECE at NERIST Nirjuli (2021)

Since you are concerned about whether or not the institution will be able to offer you a complete 100% placement opportunity, then it is important for you to understand that an institute, regardless of its prospects, can never ensure placements.

You definitely have a good chance of exposure in the fields of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and civil engineering. According to the placement highlights the highest CTC offered is 3 LPA. Most IT companies come for the placement drive.

The institute will offer decent opportunities but you also need to put in efforts to get decent placements.

The placement scenario at most new IITs can be seen improving every year although they still haven’t been able to touch the crore mark. However, newer IITs have got off on a strong note this placement season. Some new IITs like IIT Ropar, IIT Gandhinagar, IIT Bhubaneswar, and IIT Mandi, boast of better placements every year. My answer is limited to IIT Mandi, as that is the first IIT that comes to my mind when I think about new IITs.

Here is a complete analysis of the institute including placements.

IIT- Mandi was established in 2009. During the Eleventh 5- year plan, there felt a need to extend the number of prestigious engineering institutions in the country. This included the new IITs as well which were very few in number. As a result, 8 new IITs were established, while IT-BHU was granted the IIT status. These new IIT Ma have been growing at a fast-paced and their excellent placements are a testament to the same.

Many engineering aspirants from all over the country engage in countless hours of coaching classes in order to secure a seat at the IITs. These new IITs are

  1. IIT Bhubaneswar
  2. IIT Rupnagar
  3. IIT Gandhinagar
  4. IIT Hyderabad
  5. IIT Indore
  6. IIT Jodhpur
  7. IIT Patna
  8. IIT Mandi

The placements of the above-mentioned IITs have been tabulated below

Which is better, IIT Indore, BITS Goa or NIT Trichy/Surathkal for CSE considering foreign internships, infrastructure, placement opportunities and quality of life?

Raktim Tarafdar Posted On : June 20th, 2023

The CSE branch is one of the most coveted branches today and every institute offers a good CS program with the best job prospects. What matters is the coding culture, opportunities, and placement opportunities of the institute.

The CS departments of IIT Indore, NIT Trichy, and Surathkal have 100% placement. The students can easily expect a package of around INR 25-30 LPA. Top companies like Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, E Shaw, Amazon, Infosys, Google, L&T, TCS, Cisco, etc visit IIT Indore and provide excellent placement opportunities to its students.

Among the new IITs, IIT Indore has the best coding culture owing to the high programming competition here. IIT Indore students regularly participate in GSoC and it has also represented India at ACM-ICPC World Finals.

Among the aforementioned institutes, IIT Indore is the best option for you. Moreover, the IIT tag is very beneficial to secure foreign internships and higher education in foreign universities.

The general preference order would be

IIT Indore > NIT Trichy > NIT Surathkal > BITS Goa.

Also, do remember, the “IIT” tag is very helpful for foreign internships and for further education in some distant land.

Who gives a higher placement package: NLSIU Bangalore or IIM Ahmedabad?

KG
Kamakshi Gupta Posted On : December 22nd, 2022
Finance professional

NLSIU Bangalore offers campus placement for its five-year flagship law degree program. IIM Ahmedabad offers campus placement for postgraduate management students. As IIM Ahmedabad is a post-graduate institution, one can assume that the pay package will be significantly higher.

Furthermore, the applicant and student pool at IIMA would be far more diverse than that of NLSIU. They will have mastered and will exhibit a higher, broader range of skill sets. As a result, IIM Ahmedabad placement packages will be dynamic and more competitive.

Which is good both in placement and faculty: Amity Gwalior or LNCT Bhopal?

AJ
Anurag Jain Posted On : September 13th, 2021
B.E Computer Science,Lakshmi Narain College of Technology,Bhopal (2017)

If you are getting CS at LNCT Bhopal, then you should opt for it.

  • The admission process in LNCT is not a cakewalk in comparison with Amity Gwalior. Amity Gwalior needs 60% aggregate for taking admission. Direct admission is also done at Amity Gwalior.
  • However, in LNCT Bhopal, you will need to qualify for the qualifying exam and go through the online MP counseling process.
  • In terms of campus, the campus of Amity is very good as compared to LNCT. If you want to go for any coaching then both of these colleges are a little far from the main city.
  • In Amity, the teaching is good, the faculties are good. But the class timing and few subjects are often causing issues. The student crowd is mixed.
  • In LNCT, the quality of education is great. You will be among talented peers.
  • In terms of placement, LNCT is better than Amity as it is an old and reputed institute. In 2020, the average CTC offered at LNCT was 3-8 LPA and the highest CTC offered was 27 LPA.

So, if you have the option, go for LNCT.
