One of my close friends graduated from CGC Landran in the IT Branch and here are some facts for you from his experience.
There are 2 types of IT companies, which are as follows.
Product-based - These are the companies that hire at pretty impressive packages i.e more than 10 LPA to name a few companies which visited the CGC campus in recent year were Amazon, HP, Google, etc.
Service-based - These are the companies (mass recruiters) that hire in bulk offering packages about 3–4 LPA.
Most of the students get jobs in service-based companies.

The placements at SPJIMR take place on the basis of the specialization taken by the students and the companies visit with the same intention. Broadly, the candidates are divided into 2 groups
Freshers: Apart from freshers, this category also includes those with up to 1.5 years of experience. They get offers from Marketing and Finance domains usually.
Experienced: This category comprises people with more than 1.5 years of experience. The roles most offered to them are Investment Banking and Operations.
Apart from work experience, there are many other major factors on which placements depend. For instance,
At SPJIMR, the roles are distributed quite equally despite the work experience gap. Like any other B School, there are toppers as well as lowest-level students. The rest receive an average income.
Placement statistics for Instrumentation and Control Engineering in NIT Jalandhar are pretty good. The placement percentage is nearly 70-75%. The median salary stood at INR 6.5 LPA. Some major companies that visited the campus for recruitment are:
Accenture
Adobe
Amazon
CapGemini
Cognizant
DE Shaw
Infosys
Microsoft
Samsung
As far as private companies are concerned, students opt for the marketing or IT sector mainly.
Consulting firms were a popular choice among students, with over 38 percent of the batch being placed in this field. Additionally, more than 21 percent of the Finance Management batch landed roles with Investment Banking and Private Equity firms. The finance domain saw the participation of both domestic and international companies, offering roles in analytics, wealth management, and private banking. In fact, around 20 percent of the Finance batch received offers for Investment Banking and Private Equity roles, which is a record high for the cohort. Prominent recruiters like Avendus Capital, Axis Capital, GEF Capital, Goldman Sachs, and JM Financial rolled out multiple offers to candidates.
Another noteworthy aspect of the placements process was the participation of E-Commerce industry leaders like Amazon and Flipkart. About 12 percent of the batch received offers from these companies, with roles across domains such as Supply Chain and Operations Management, Finance Management, and Management Trainee being offered to students.
Overall, the placements process at SPJIMR in 2022 was impressive and offered students a wide range of opportunities in various domains. If you're considering SPJIMR for your business education, you can be assured of a strong placements process that provides ample opportunities to kickstart your career.
LNCT is among the most popular private colleges in Bhopal. The infrastructure, facilities of this college are excellent.
Faculty:
Most of the faculty of this college have completed their BE from a private or government college and there are also professors who have completed their M.Tech and Ph.D. in their respective subjects.
Curriculum:
The course curriculum of this college is great as it is a part of Rajiv Gandhi Technical University. The syllabus is balanced for the 1st and 2nd years and it is updated regularly. There are various subjects for understanding operating systems, computation and networking. But the coding culture is not that great.
Examination Pattern:
The examination pattern is quite effective too. There are adequate days of gap between two exams in every semester and the practical exams are being conducted before 20-25 days of the main theoretical exams. There are also internal exams and if you perform well in these, then the main exams will be very easy for you.
Placements:
The placement scenario is also very good but it is continuing to decrease every year. A lot of popular companies such as Infogain, Birlasoft, Infosys, Syntel visit the campus for interviews but the packages offered now are less compared to the last few years. In recent years the average CTC offered ranges between 3-8 LPA.
Hence, the facilities and the faculty of LNCT Bhopal are very good to pursue CSE, but the placement scenario is becoming poor every year and this is a matter of concern.
CUSAT, or the Cochin University of Science and Technology, has a good track record when it comes to placements. Here are some key points to consider:
Overall, while the quality of placements can vary depending on the specific program and individual student, CUSAT has a good reputation for connecting students with top employers and providing them with the skills and resources needed to succeed in their careers.
Nowadays the colleges which are providing good campus placements with high salary packages are ranked higher than the colleges which are providing quality education. Colleges like VIT/BIT provide good campus placements but impose less focus on academics. They have hired placement officers who try to contact all types of recruiters through social network sites and then invite them for campus placements.
Colleges like IISC Bangalore are considered as the best institute of Engineering even better than top IITs, not because of campus placements or providing higher compensation. It earned that reputation by providing quality education.
Placements nowadays are purely based on good networking with big corporations and recruiters and making them happy. This can only be done by the placement cell of the colleges. However, IIEST Shibpur is an institution that still only relies upon the quality of education that is imparted to students.
Marketing has become an important aspect for the colleges. The colleges not only have to promote the college but they will have to market the students as well in order to get them good placements.
IIEST being a good quality institution has developed world leaders in engineering background. But it will also need to improve its marketing and networking strategies in order to provide better placements in the market. In the next 4 years competition will be fierce in the campus placements and the colleges will have to do the same in order to survive in the market.
Also, another fact that’s worth mentioning is that IIEST Shibpur is considered as an ‘Indian Institute’ and ‘Institute of National Importance’ now, for its contribution to the Engineering field of over 160 years. With this stature, placements are likely to improve as reputed IITs or NITs.
Although all the courses offered at KJ Somaiya are equally good, its Marketing discipline is the most coveted one. Also there is no partiality during placement of students of various disciplines. Every student is allowed to sit for PPT and then for final interviews after selection.KJ Somaiya conducts a transparent and unbiased placement drive. Students from Finance, Marketing, Operations and HR get segregated during the initial selection process.
A number of companies visit the campus for placements. The placement committee makes sure that every year new companies also line up in addition to the many companies that visit every year. So I don’t think placements should be a concern for anyone getting into KJ Somaiya.
I assume that you are talking about international placements. Here are some things you need to know before making a decision. As one of my friends graduated from NITIE, I might be able to answer your question.
Placement is the dream for many students. To make it possible you can move ahead with the NITIE Mumbai placement. Even recently, students got placed for massive annual packages exceeding INR 50 LPA. If you have a look at the current pandemic situation, there is a chance to experience the changes, still, the placements have stayed good.
On the other hand, to experience a good number of placements in reputed companies, then NITIE is the best place.
