Should I go to Banasthali University or Bharati Vidyapeeth in Delhi for a B.Tech?
Banasthali University is a better option for pursuing a B.Tech. It is especially good for branches related to Computer Science. Most of the faculty members are well-experienced. The curriculum is such that you will mostly get surface-level knowledge. If you want to learn a subject in detail, then you will need to self-study.
The placements are good. The recent highlights of Banasthali University placement show the average and highest CTC to be INR 3.60 LPA, and INR 5.20 LPA, respectively.
Which is better, civil engineering at IIT Bhubaneswar or chemical engineering at BITS Hyderabad?
Civil engineering from IIT Bhubaneswar is better than chemical engineering from BITS Hyderabad. As a student from IIT Bhubaneswar, I can vouch for the institution.

What is your review of electrical engineering at Pondicherry Engineering College?
Some of my friends who studied at Pondicherry Engineering College. They gave the college a fair rating of 3.5 out of 5. Leaving the part of active clubs and committees, every other aspect of the college is pretty nice.
- In your third year, you will be given a chance to work on industrial projects.
- PEC Pondicherry provides an all-round experience.
- If you want to become an expert in your subject then this college is the best choice. But if you want placements, then you will face a little bit of difficulty but that is also eradicated in the software sector.
- Most of the faculty members are well experienced and highly cooperative. EEE department has a very knowledgeable and helpful faculty.

The seniors who have passed out from the EEE department have been working with tech giants like Qualcomm, GE, Panasonic, etc. Pondicherry Engineering College is a good college if you want to acquire knowledge but it holds an average reputation when it comes to placements.
Should I choose CS at JIIT Noida or BIET Jhansi?
There is no surety about JIIT Noida, but- BIET JHANSI is a government college and ranks at 3 in UPTU. It has a very large campus with all facilities and placements are also good. While JIIT is a private institute. So, there is no comparison between BIET and JIIT. As we know that there are a number of private colleges in every nook and corner but government colleges are rare.

Infrastructure:
On campus, you will have ample resources to enhance your coding skills like free LAN. You can also count on the seniors to provide useful hacks but it does not include the faculty.
Placement:
- At campus, most of the offers are made by TCS. However, you can always opt for off-campus placement. Alumni of this college are even placed in Adobe
- Placements from college are merely in TCS but you have many options for off-campus placements. Alumni are even placed at Adobe.

Hence, looking at the above table, it can be said that JIIT Noida is a way better choice over BIET Jhansi. But CS at BIET Jhansi is only advisable if you love coding. Otherwise, there’s a high chance that you will remain jobless by your final year.
Which is better, a B.Tech in IT at IIEST Shibpur or CSE at IIIT Jabalpur?
The B.Tech course offered by IIIT Jabalpur in Computer Science and Engineering is not good. The placement report is not that impressive. There are very few faculty members available for CSE at present in that institute according to one of my friends who recently graduated from this college.
On the other hand, IT in IIEST can be a pretty good option if you want to make it big. The infrastructure of the college is quite good. Students get the option to grab good internships. Microsoft hires from the campus. The diversity of students and faculty members present at the College is also good.

How are the labs and faculty of IIIT Guwahati for a CSE? Is it worth joining IIIT instead of NSIT in Delhi for automation branch?
One of my friends studied at IIIT Guwahati. According to him, you should think of joining IIIT Guwahati. It will be very beneficial especially if you are willing to study Computer Science Engineering at this institute. Finally, all this would completely depend on where your interests lie.
- Earlier, IIIT Guwahati had a temporary campus but as of now, it has established a permanent campus that is under construction.
- You will see that a few buildings are still being constructed with few complete ones.
- The location is also slightly isolated.
- However, if you are one of those students who enjoy the serenity on campus, you will enjoy it here.
- The labs are very well equipped and you will be working with some of the best state-of-the-art equipment and latest hi-tech gadgets.
- The lab assistants are also well-experienced individuals and will help guide you with great competence throughout your curriculum and your research work as well.

It is true that IIIT Guwahati is a relatively new institute but I will suggest you go for CSE at IIIT Guwahati as compared to NSIT for automation. It is definitely worth joining. You can think for yourself and make a decision accordingly. Good luck.
What should a 1st year IET Lucknow student know from the IT branch?
My sister is an alumnus of the IET Lucknow IT branch and here is some of her advice regarding the branch.
- First and foremost, you must identify which field you are interested in. If you want to work in software development, you should be able to create code in an object-oriented programming language like C++ or Python, and you should practice by solving puzzles on Hackerrank.
- You should enter several programming competitions; code chef long and lunchtime are highly suggested. Basic data structures can also be learned via Mycodeschool and you can practice on Hackerank and Geeksforgeeks.
Now let’s talk about the IT branch at IET Lucknow.
- There is no difference between IT and the CS branch. Both branches face the same situations and follow the same curriculum.
- Only TCS and WIPRO are the regular companies to attend the placement drive; the rest are uncertain. Occasionally, a large number of companies will arrive, while other times, none. According to the placement statistics of 2020, the median CTC offered was 5 LPA.
So, unless you have some senior help, the development of your talents is entirely dependent on your own hard work.
Should I choose NIT Calicut CS or BITS Hyderabad EEE?
In comparison to BITS Hyderabad’s EEE, NIT Calicut’s CSE, the latter would be considered a better option. However, it is entirely up to you whether you want to pursue IT jobs or electrical hardware jobs.
- The NIT Calicut CSE batch had a 100% placement record.
- They were offered the highest salary package of 40 LPA.
- The department of computer science is regarded as one of the best in the institute.
- Many well reputed companies such as Direct I, Morgan Stanley and over a hundred other multinational corporations (MNCs) come to campus for recruitment.
- When it comes to the overall development of a student NIT Calicut provides a plethora of opportunities during the tech fest TATHVA and the cultural fest RAGAM.

As I am not much familiar with BITS Hyderabad, I am not able to share details about the college. I had some of my friends graduating from NIT Calicut so I was able to share these details. Therefore, I believe CSE from NIT Calicut is the better option. You can interact with ex-students of BITS Hyderabad to get a proper overview of the college.
Which is better, production engineering at NIT Agartala or ECE at NIT Mizoram?
Your decision completely depends on your priority as to what is the most important to you, the branch or the college. Being a graduate from NIT Agartala, I would suggest you go for NIT Agartala rather than NIT Mizoram.
- If college is the most important to you then you should go for NIT Agartala. The infrastructure is far better than most of the NITs.
- You may have to face some trouble regarding the faculties as they are not up to the mark.
- If the branch is your priority go for ECE, however, Production Engineering also has grown as a department. You can make your careers in Supply Change, Quality Management, and Control, etc.
- Other than this, your choice should depend upon the location. Give preference to the one that's closer to your home.
- Both the colleges are tier 3 Indian engineering colleges and the graduates have been working in companies with a package of 3 to 4 lakhs per annum.

Both branches are equally good in their own ways. But ultimately it is your decision to choose where you want to study. It is suggested that you go for NIT Agartala as it is a more experienced institution than NIT Mizoram.
How good are the placements for a B.Tech in safety and fire engineering at CUSAT?
I have a few friends at CUSAT, so I think I can give you an idea about the placement opportunities available for their Fire and Safety department.
Fire and Safety Engineering can be quite challenging. If you are serious about your studies and put in the required effort you will definitely have enough opportunities at the time of placements. But if you are not that serious about academics and end up having backlogs the faculty will not help you during placements.
If you are sincere you can get packages similar to the ones offered at reputed IITs and NITs. Here is a brief highlight of the recent placement statistics for the branch.

- Major recruiters - BPCL, IOCL, JSW, etc.
Also, it is worth mentioning that CUSAT is NBA Tier - 1 accredited. Other than CUSAT, only IITs and NITs have NBA accreditation. So, CUSAT is definitely a worthy choice for a B.Tech in Fire and Safety Engineering.
