You will almost certainly obtain it if your rank is within 3500. According to the marks you have, you have a good probability of succeeding.
If you are unable to enter Heritage, do not hesitate to enter Techno India Saltlake. They have also delivered fantastic placements in both CSE and IT this year. I wouldn't recommend IEM Saltlake because it's more strict like a high school than a college.
If you score 85+ marks, I believe you will be eligible for Heritage.
So in the end, I would only suggest to you that it varies year by year that how many marks are required, and as competition is increasing with each day, only your hard work and dedication towards your dream can land you in a good institute.
It totally depends upon you and how you manage to do your studies. One of my friends who was in HIT tried for his 2nd attempt but couldn’t make it due to lack of focus. There may be a few more examples, but it is not possible to opt for IIT or any top-notch college after studying for 1 year at Heritage.
It may have been possible a few years back but now, Heritage Institute is an autonomous institute. A rigid attendance policy and curriculum are being followed here and you will get little to no time for JEE preparation.
You can opt for lateral entry as various colleges accept it. IIIT Hyderabad is one such example. However, you will be granted admission based on various parameters and your profile.
Determination, patience, and motivation are the main keys. Life at any engineering college is not a piece of cake. You will be overloaded with tasks and assignments. If you are focused and find balance in your life then, you will succeed.
All the colleges are good enough to join, be it Kongu Engineering College or any other college. The main choice is about the branch that a student takes up.
The point where Kongu lacks is that some people of the Institute do partiality based on the caste system which spoils the overall environment for the students.
It is simple to get a confirmation in any school in Bangalore. You need cash to go through the administration portion.
Imagine and pretend like you have all the information about the cost of administration in various schools, it will help you a lot in haggling and lessen the cost.
Although your summer placement is based upon your previous academic records, the final placement is more dependent on what you do in the B-school. Standards may be different and vary from student to student but, in terms of good opportunities at these B-schools, even an average student gets a decent internship.
If you work hard enough to be in the top half of the batch, you can definitely expect a good placement offer. Also, academics are not the only field that matters for the placement. There are other various factors at play such as academics, personality, additional skills, passion, and other interpersonal skills.
Many times it’s seen that students with decent academics record trails behind the students with average academics records. So, while getting admission in the B-school don’t overthink about the placement. B- school gives you various opportunities to cross the limits, so do your best. Hard work and dedication can surely defeat average academic records.

The English Diagnostic Test is conducted at IIT Bhubaneswar for 1st year B.Tech students at the beginning of the academic year under the supervision of the Director. This test identifies problems that a student may have with the English language. The main objective is to help students meet certain academic standards by identifying their strengths and weaknesses in academic English that may interfere with their learning, course-work, teaching, and research at IIT Bhubaneswar. This test also aims at improving the quality of teaching, learning, and curriculum at the Institute by helping students find remedies for their weaknesses and poor performance in the English language. It mainly consists of components such as language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing (LSRW) including vocabulary and grammar. This test is of a total of 100 marks.
Speaking Skills Test is the last part of this three-part test. It is for 20 marks and the time allotted for this test is 10 mins. The purpose of this test is to analyze a student's fluency in English. All students are required to take speaking skills tests at specific times allotted to each one of them. The Counseling Service team of IIT Bhubaneswar assists all students during the test.
IIT Bhubaneswar is one of the good engineering colleges in India among other new IIT’s. The infrastructure and placement of the college are also excellent and above-average than other IITs.
Electrical engineering, CSE, and mechanical departments are the best classes with some of the best faculties.
Mechanical engineering has maintained its steady placements of 84% in some of the top core industries. Electrical engineering on the other hand has more than 80% placements. The CSE in 2019 has 100% placement from IIT Bhubaneswar.
The highest package offered by IIT Bhubaneswar in 2019 was 38 LPA. The average package offered at CSE and mechanical engineering department is 14 LPA and 8.8 LPA respectively.
IIT Bhubaneswar always works hard for their students' success. The students of IIT Bhubaneswar get placed in some of the top-ranking companies namely Google, Microsoft, Amazon, TATA Steel, HP, Adobe, JIO, etc.
The best classes depend fully upon the students and their choice of interests. Apart from the classes offered, IIT Bhubaneswar organises many festivals, cultural events for their students. This is an excellent opportunity for students who are not fluent in communication can improve their skills by meeting people from different communities.
Moreover, there are facilities available for sports, gyms which won’t make the students feel homesick. One can attend regular workshops, training sessions which ultimately provide a student the cozy atmosphere for which they are desiring.
IIT Bhubaneswar is the better option in this case. Civil engineering from IIT Guwahati has less scope as compared to ECE from IIT Bhubaneswar. Although IIT Guwahati is in the category of old IIT’s unlikely IIT Bhubaneswar and also comes at 7th among the engineering colleges in India.
IIT Bhubaneswar offers better placements for electrical and electronics & communication engineering. In 2019, electrical engineering had an 86% placement rate and the average package was around INR 11.44 LPA at IIT Bhubaneswar. At IIT Guwahati there were 77% placements for civil engineering.
If we compare on the basis of streams; Civil Engineering lacks behind ECE. Civil is easier than ECE but the decision depends on your interest and whichever course interests you more should be the first priority.
