I have done part time MBA from IIM Lucknow (WMP), Is it okay to apply for PGPX courses at IIM A/B/C?
No, I wouldn’t recommend you apply for a PGPX course at IIM A B or C if you have completed a part-time MBA from IIM Lucknow. The reason is the huge overlap of electives in almost all the programs offered at IIMs. Leaving a few courses most of which are repeated in all the programs be it part-time or full-time.
Towards the end of the course, you might end up spending a hefty fee and lots of time and yet not learning anything new. If anything you might just get placed at a better firm. But that too will be useless if you are unable to harness the acquired knowledge and skills in the open market. The question is if your job will be worth your year lost, your lost opportunities, and 25-30 lakhs of loan.
Still, if you want to pursue the course go for a top MBA course abroad. That might make a difference in your resume and job prospects.
What type of scholarship is available at IIM if any middle class student wants to get in to IIM Ahmedabad?
IIM Ahmedabad students can avail several scholarships and financial aids for their two year PGP/PGP-FABM.

- IIMA Special Need Based Scholarship- This scholarship is open to students with an annual family income below 15,00,000. To avail this scholarship, one has to submit proofs of- one’s family income, amount of educational loan taken, one’s past earnings, etc.
- Class of PGP 2001, Peri Viswanath Scholarship- This scholarships offers financial support to one student from PGP/PGP-FABM. The amount is 2 lakh per year, which totals to 4 lakhs over 2 years. It is a merit cum means scholarship, which is awarded to students with a good performance in 1st year (and a good past academic record), and a family income below 15,00,000. But this scholarship requires the beneficiary to contribute an equal (or more) amount for another PGP/PGP-FABM student in future.
- Aditya Birla Group Scholarships- The group awards three meritorious PGP 1 and PGP 2 students with 1,75,000 per year (for each student).
- Dunia Scholarships for scholastic excellence- Dunia Finance LLC, Dubai, UAE offers this merit scholarship to two students from PGP-1 and PGP-2 each. The scholarship amount is 1,00,000.

The choice of B Schools depends on your interests and priorities. The school you choose depends on

It’s good that you are starting your MBA preparation from your first year. This will definitely give you a head start. IIM Ahmedabad is a great place to study but it needs a lot of effort. To clear the CAT entrance examination, you have to do exceptionally well in aptitude. CAT is one of the toughest examinations in India. This is so tough that even the students who perform great in their academics end up scoring 55-65% in the CAT examination.
At this stage, you should mainly focus on your graduation degree and prepare from the aptitude in parallel with the degree for the CAT exam. Always keep a track of the latest syllabus as there is a change in pattern. To get admission to IIM Ahmedabad, you need to attain more than 99.9 percentile in the entrance exam, and along with that, you will need a strong academic background, i.e. good marks in 10th, 12th, and in graduation also.

- Complete your graduation degree with more than 9 CGPA as CGPA plays a very important role in both getting admission in IIM Ahmedabad and a hostel room in the VIT campus.
- Get well-versed in English and practice the reading and verbal comprehension questions because, after logical reasoning, English is the most challenging section in the exam.
- Go for the campus placement first. Have a job and attain a work experience of at least 6 months so that you can get an idea and also it will be an advantage in the interviews in IIM.
- Attempt for the entrance exam in the final year and if you attain good marks sit for the interview and pursue MBA or else go for the campus placement and attempt for CAT after some work experience of around 6-12 months. This way you can have the backup plan ready.

Should I persure my MBA from FMS Delhi or IIM A if I belong to a middle class family?
If there are some financial constraints, you should go for FMS Delhi for sure. The RoI is great and FMS Delhi is exceptionally good in terms of placements. But if you want to join the IIM brand, IIM A students can easily get education loans.
I personally know people who have dropped IIM A to be in FMS Delhi. So, it totally depends on your choice and priority. Both the colleges are of the same level, just the tag is the difference, so see what you weigh more.
How was it possible for ISB Hyderabad to be at par with IIM A in just 16 years?
One of the most significant reasons why ISB is at par with IIM Ahmedabad is because of the fact that only these two MBA programs have successfully been figured in the top MBA programs of the world.
