This course is offered free of charge by IIT Madras Pravartak Technologies Foundation (a Sector 8 company of IIT Madras). You can get your certificate by appearing for the exam at different locations of IIT Madras and paying a nominal fee.

IIT Kanpur has launched a professional Certificate program for a duration of 4 months in collaboration with Simplilearn. The program trains students right from the fundamentals of blockchain. It also covers the technical and functional aspects of building a blockchain solution. This Online Bootcamp program teaches students the use of tools and techniques for building a blockchain. This course offers learning with the use of real-world blockchain applications in Fintech, Healthcare, Supply Chain Management, Bitcoin wallets, and more. 

The lectures are delivered by the faculty of IIT Kanpur. Admission into this course is done by registering oneself on Simplilearn and enrolling for this course. The shortlisted candidates have to pay the required fee of INR 1.10 Lakhs. IIT Kanpur offers a decent hostel facility for its students. There is a separate hostel facility for male and female students of IIT Kanpur, but the hostel fee is same for both the genders. 

The total hostel fee at IIT Kanpur is INR 15,390 per semester. Out of the total fee, INR 1,250 is the hostel seat rent, INR 25 is the water charge, and INR 14,110 is the mess establishment charge. The hostel and mess registration is done online.

The students at IIT Kanpur hostels get wifi facility, proper beds, shelf, table, tube light, bed light, and fan in each room. The mess food is hygienic and decent in taste. The menu is different for each day. Even though on some days South Indian dishes are served in the mess, students from the South find it a bit difficult to adjust to the food available in and around the campus.
