Though every branch at LPU enjoys good placement opportunities every year, according to my experience, I would say that it is CSE. There are many factors like industry demand, participating students and university collaborations that affect the placements. The CSE branch has consistently performed well in the campus drives with many students securing lucrative offers. 

During the 2023 placement, the average package for BTech CSE stood at INR 7 LPA with the highest package being INR 54.75 LPA. The top recruiters include Amazon, Adobe, Microsoft, Deloitte, Intel, IBM and more. 

The university places a significant emphasis on preparing students for campus drives through training classes, grooming sessions and more. Industry tie-ups and internships also help students perform well in the interviews.

Bachelor of Design (B. Design) in interior and furniture and BSc in design interior and furniture are the top undergraduate courses at LPU dealing with technical aspects of interior and furniture design. These courses offer a comprehensive education in space planning, interior materials and more.

Both the courses differ in the emphasis and focus areas despite covering the same topics. B. Design has a more design-oriented approach with students developing a strong foundation in design principles. On the other hand, a BSc has more emphasis on the technical aspects of interior design and furniture.

For the B. Design course, you have to appear in the LPUNEST to secure a seat. You can also appear in other entrance exams like CUET, UCEED, NID DAT or NIFT if you do not wish to appear in the LPUNEST exam. For the BSc in Design Interior and Furniture course, you do not need any entrance exam for admission as it is a lateral entry program. I would recommend you to appear in the LPUNEST exam to avail scholarship benefits offered by LPU. 

Before taking admission I visited both Sambalpur University and Lovely Professional University campuses.
