Is IIEST Shibpur better than NIT Trichy?

In terms of placements, NIT Trichy is way ahead of IIEST Shibpur. It also gets the upper hand in case of the students. As the research in NIT Trichy is superior compared to IIEST Shibpur, the faculty of the former is also superior to the latter.
However, IIEST Shibpur is often ranked in magazines like Outlook, Mint, EduRand owing to its research and other collaborations. BESU, even being a state government institute, was facing problems in its funding. After its conversion to IIEST, things took a turn for the better. Occasionally some professors out of habit may speak a word or two in their regional language but it is not a requirement or the norm.

- Being a private institute, BITS Hyderabad has very high fees around ?5.72 Lakhs in the first year. 1st
- The placements for core placements are average.
In my opinion, NIT Trichy is a better option in terms of fees, and placements.
