Honestly, if I was in your place I would have chosen PGPM. Great Lakes. It’s the best choice you can make among the options you have.
I feel your work experience of 3.5+ years is too superior to be considered at TAPMI and it won’t do justice to your profile.
The PFPM course no doubt has high fees but you need to focus on the package you will receive at the end of the program. It’s like a long-term investment and you can expect a higher ROI than the usual program.
Moreover, Great is well known for its specialization in IT. Depending on the offers during placements you can even switch to some other domain.
Both institutes provide a two-year, full-time MBA-equivalent PGDM program. TAPMI and FORE specialise in marketing, finance, human resources, operations, information technology, international business, and human resource management, respectively.
Both institutes have good placement and industry relations. TAPMI has a strong alumni network, and FORE offers a national capital region location advantage.
Fees: TAPMI 16.5 Lacs and FORE?16.98 L .
Placement for the Batch 2023: TAPMI 15.7 LPA and FORE 14.5 LPA.
When all factors are weighed, TAPMI emerges as the superior institution above FORE.
Some of the top companies recruiting from TAPMI are:
If you have these options then you can kick out TAPMI first of all. IIM tag is much worth it if you consider current industry growth. There are multiple factors to consider between IIM Vizag and IIM Raipur.
First of all, is placements, IIM Raipur has better placements than Vizag. The average salary package for IIM Raipur is around 16-17 LPA while for Vizag it is around 13-14 LPA. IIM Raipur is a new generation IIM established in 2010 while Vizag was set up in 2015. So, IIM Raipur is a clear choice among the three.
TAPMI is the best among these institutes. If you are among the top 100 students, you can get good placement packages. TAPMI placement report for last year reveals that the top 100 students received an average CTC of around INR 14.6 LPA. The job profiles and exposure offered at the institute are comparable to top management institutes in the country.
You can keep Grate Lakes as your second preference. Both campuses of Grate Lakes offers decent placement opportunities to students. During the 2022 placement, the average CTC stood around INR 11 LPA for the institute.
LIBA and NIRMA University aren’t in the same league as TAPMI and Grate Lakes.
Among all these institutes, TAPMI, Manipal and KJ Somaiya are the better choices for pursuing PGDM in Finance.
TAPMI offers CFA C-BOK and FRM certified curriculum and has a finance lab powered by 16 Bloomberg and 7 Reuters terminals. Students also get training with SBI- Staff Training College, Hyderabad, and BSE Training Institute, BSE Mumbai to acquire industry-relevant skills. BFSI was among the top sectors offering placement offers in the 2020 placement drive at the institute. 28% of students got recruited in the BFSI sector.
KJ Somaiya Institute of Management has a location-wise benefit as the institute is situated in Mumbai- the financial hub of the nation. It attracts many reputed companies from the finance domain for placement. If you have an MBA call from BLACKI (Banglore, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Calcutta, Kozhikode, Indore), XLRI Jamshedpur, FMS, and other premium institutes then you can definitely go for MBA otherwise I would suggest you gain some industry experience for at least 2 years and along with that you can constantly appear for CAT/XAT exams.
It would become easy for you to get admission to a premium institute with work experience, and work ex. will also help you in securing a good placement in your MBA college.
Great Lakes Institute of Management in Chennai is a good option to consider for an MBA program from an education perspective. The school boasts access to some of the world's best faculty and the MBA program offered there can provide a valuable learning experience.
The MBA program at Great Lakes serves the purpose of gaining exposure and improving students' personalities. Instead of worrying about which college to attend, it's important for prospective students and aspirants to focus on getting their priorities in order. If you have a clear understanding of what you want to achieve from the program, the specific institution you choose may not be as important. Therefore, it is advisable to work on getting your priorities correct before making a decision on which college to attend.
