When considering MBA colleges in India, Sydenham (SIMSREE) should definitely be on your list. It is one of the most underrated colleges and has several advantages over more popular colleges like NMIMS.
First, let's look at the ROI. Sydenham has a median CTC above 10 LPA and the total course fee is only 1.4 lakhs. This makes it a great investment, especially since it's the only government institute in Maharashtra that offers an MBA. And for category students, there is almost no course fee!
Next, the faculty at Sydenham is amazing. You will be taught by some of the best in the industry, including one of the Directors of RBI, the President of Finance, GM Strategy, and GM Retail of many MNCs. These are the core faculty at Sydenham.
The illustrious alumni of Sydenham are another advantage. Founders of BookmyShow, CEOs of Raymond, Citi Malaysia, Chief South Business, Disney, Head Operations Lamborghini India, and many more have done an MBA from Sydenham.
One thing that sets Sydenham apart is its student-driven culture. The college is of the students, by the students, and for the students. Students are involved in the administration of the college and events, which gives you hands-on experience in managing an institute before actually starting a corporate job.
Finally, the location of Sydenham is excellent. It is located at Churchgate, in the heart of the financial capital Mumbai. This gives you immense exposure to guest lectures, which is very critical. Also, for non-Mumbai students, you can be at Marine Drive whenever you want by paying negligible fees at the Government College's Hostel.
In conclusion, if you're looking for an MBA college in India, you should definitely consider Sydenham. It has great ROI, amazing faculty, illustrious alumni, a student-driven culture, and an excellent location.
PGIMS Rohtak is an amazing choice in terms of campus life, academics, facilities, and hostel. It’s known to have some of the most talented faculty members. Their teaching modules are unique. The labs are well-equipped and the practical classes are quite intriguing. Students learn something new every day.
Regular seminars and competitions are organized to implement the theoretical knowledge of the students. ARMSCON, a national-level conference, is organized every year in mid-October.
PGIMS has a huge campus with excellent sports facilities. There is also provision of hostel and mess facilities but don’t raise your expectations high.
Overall, life at PGIMS Rohtak is pretty good although you might have to adjust a bit.
One of my cousins shared his experience of life at NIT Surathkal. Here are some highlights of his delightful experience.
So, NIT Surathkal offers an excellent campus life which is a blend of both freedom and academics. You can enjoy the freedom and maintain a good GPA with minimal effort.
AIIMS Patna is one of the prestigious medical institutes in India established in 2012. AIIMS Patna is among the top choices to pursue MBBS in India owing to its brand name and repute in the country being an Institute of National Importance. The institute is centrally funded and thus has top-notch academics, infrastructure, and facilities to offer to its students. The institute is equipped with modern facilities, laboratories, and infrastructure to provide a better learning environment for its students. The clinical exposure provided at AIIMS Patna is also commendable. AIIMS Patna is indeed a good choice for MBBS looking at the high standards of education and exposure provided to students.
AIIMS Patna is extremely popular for its campus life. The campus life is quite lively at AIIMS Patna with a lot of events, extracurricular activities, and fun activities. KAIZEN, the annual fest of AIIMS Patna has all cultural, literary, and sports events followed by a grand star night at the end. AIIMS Patna is also said to offer a lot of freedom to its hostel students and one can find students strolling around even at midnight. The nightlife at AIIMS Patna is another attractive factor. Talking about the faculty, AIIMS Patna is known to have highly qualified and experienced faculty members. Being the best in their respective fields, the faculty at AIIMS Patna is no doubt one of the best in the country.

MAMC Delhi is one of the most prestigious medical colleges of India and offers an excellent campus life to its MBBS students. Although the authorities will claim its a rigging free college, the reality is you will have to entertain the seniors to a certain extent. There have been instances when juniors have been asked to dance and sing for their seniors. Some might be banned from the library for being a nerd. However, never let your guard down, and always maintain your dignity.
The food is very cheap and tasty. The Nescafe Point serves a variety of snacks and coffees and many other delicacies can be bought from the Departmental Canteen. The college has no caste-based discrimination and there is excellent harmony between the peers. You won't face any major language issues here irrespective of whichever part of India you hail from.
The schedule isn't very hectic and students are given a 15-day break for Christmas and New Year. There are enough holidays to plan trips or visit home occasionally.
I have a female friend at NIT Patna and from what I heard from here, the food served in the mess is satisfactory. Students are offered a variety of dishes but the food tastes decent.
Breakfast is the best meal with a different dish served every day. Some days it's Chole Batoore, while on other days it's Poha or Aaloo Paratha. Students are also given milk, a boiled egg, and an omelet for breakfast occasionally.
Lunch and dinner mainly comprise dal, roti, vegetables, salads, pickle, kheer, and Suzi ka halwa. The type of vegetable and dal vary everyday. I am also attaching a few pics of the lunch she ate during her time at NIT Patna.
In the evening students are given snacks such as tea and biscuits. Weekends bring in specialties like fish and chicken.
It is recommended that you do not opt for GBPEC Pauri. Here are some reasons why:
You can rather go for DIT or GEU Dehradun which will provide a comparatively better environment and facilities.
You will have to work hard and get a good rank in JEE Mains to get admission into the CSE branch at NIT Warangal.
This is how life is at the CSE department of NIT Warangal-
First and Second Semesters-
Third Semester-
Fourth Semester-
This is my experience with the CSE department of NIT Warangal up till now. You will enjoy your time at the CSE department of NIT Warangal and have a great faculty by your side.
One of my friends recently graduated from MSU Baroda. Let me share some of the points she mentioned about the college, which might also help go through your first year of college.
Overall it is a really nice place. In your first year you will get to interact with lots of students and will also have enough time to explore the place. After your first year the pressure of the studies increases so, it is suggested that you explore most during your first year.
