While Easwari Engineering College is well known for its placements and teaching quality, BS Abdur Rahman University tops the college when it comes to infrastructure as well as research in the field of mechanical engineering.

Eligibility: Easwari Engineering College offers a BE in Mechanical Engineering whereas B.S. Abdur Rahman University offers a BTech in the same.

Easwari Engineering College:

  • Students are required to have Physics or Mathematics as a compulsory subject in 10+2.

  • Final admissions are carried out on the basis of the score obtained in the TNEA entrance test.

B.S. Abdur Rahman University:

  • A minimum score of 60% marks in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects is the prerequisite for admission.

Yes, there are many products based as well as service-based companies who visit SRM Easwari Engineering College every year for placement drive. Amazon and Google being the major service-based companies that provide dream packages have been the regular participants in the placement procedure. The mass recruitment happened for the IT branch students although there are not many core companies visiting for the other branches.

Placement Statistics:

SRM Easwari Engineering College is a reputed college of engineering in Chennai. The college ranked at the 200th position all over the country in the engineering colleges category according to NIRF in 2019.

Eligibility: It offers a BTech program in Information Technology.

  • Students must score a minimum of 50% in 10+2 and have physics or mathematics as their core subjects compulsorily.

  • Final admissions are based on the score obtained in the TNEA entrance test.

  • In 2019 the closing cutoff for IT was 6132.

Fee structure:

The institute charges a fee of INR 55,000 for the first year of the course.

Faculty:
