Masters degree from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada (2016)

If you are looking to pursue higher education in engineering, it's important to choose a college that provides you with a quality learning experience and prepares you for a successful career in the field. Here are some points to consider while selecting a college:

  • State-of-the-art machinery and equipment: Engineering involves hands-on learning and practical application of concepts. Therefore, it's important to choose a college that has well-equipped labs and workshops with state-of-the-art machinery and equipment. This ensures that you get a hands-on experience with the latest tools and technologies in the field.
  • Proficient Professors: The quality of education depends on the proficiency and experience of the faculty members. Choose a college that has highly qualified and experienced faculty in your field of interest. Professors who are active in research and development can provide you with valuable insights into the latest trends and technologies in the field.
  • Core Placements: Placement opportunities are a crucial factor to consider while selecting a college. Choose a college that has a good track record of placing students in reputed companies in your field of interest. Core placements refer to job opportunities in companies that are directly related to your field of study.

When considering colleges, you may come across options such as Sri Venkateswara University (SVU) and Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada (JNTUK). While these are both well-known universities, it's important to evaluate if they meet your requirements. Here are some points to consider while evaluating these universities:

  • Infrastructure: While both universities have decent infrastructure, it's important to assess if they have state-of-the-art machinery and equipment in your field of study. You can visit their websites or take a campus tour to get a better idea.
  • Faculty: Both universities have a mix of experienced and young faculty members. It's important to research the faculty members in your field of interest and assess their proficiency and experience.
  • Placements: Both universities have a good placement record, but it's important to assess if they offer core placements in your field of interest. You can check their placement statistics and connect with alumni to get a better idea.

Every college has its strengths and weaknesses. While some colleges may have all the facilities and opportunities you are looking for, others may offer unique experiences that you may not find elsewhere. Therefore, it's important to evaluate your options carefully and choose a college that aligns with your goals and aspirations.

If you are going to pursue your M.Tech from JNTUK, you will receive a stipend of 12,400 according to the AICTE norms. With the stipend, you will be able to handle your expenses comfortably.

In the initial stage, it can be a bit difficult, since it takes time to register and apply for the stipend. After the initial process is done, you can expect to receive your stipend regularly.

What is the use of doing an M Tech in JNTUK?

KG
Krish Gowtham Posted On : October 25th, 2021
M.Tech from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada (2014)

M.Tech has generally pursued research purposes. If you are highly interested in your subject then go for it without any further hesitation. To enhance your knowledge is never a decision that would make you regret it later.

You might even be offered an opportunity to opt for the post of Assistant Professor or Research Assistant. Your B.Tech qualification would suffice the criterion for private companies as a degree in M.Tech is not much of value in the corporate field.

You may opt for this course if you are immensely interested in acquiring a job post as a research assistant, etc. Otherwise, it would merely be a waste of time.

Which is better - AU or JNTUK?

TR
Tathagata Roy Posted On : November 8th, 2021
B.Tech Computer Science, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada

It is difficult to compare AU with JNTUK. Both of these institutes are quite reputed in Andra Pradesh. Both have a few specific branches that are exceptionally good. AU has branches like Marine Engineering, that JNTUK doesn’t. There is a limited student intake in both institutions. For each branch, there are only 50 seats at both institutes.

The placement facilities are quite good. In the recent placement drive, the average CTC offered at AU and JNTUK were 3.5 LPA and 4 LPA respectively. Both of these institutes also witnessed many IAS aspirants. So, you can choose either of these two institutes, based on your branch of choice.

M.tech renewable Energy in JNTUK kakinada worth studying?

AR
Anamika Roy Posted On : October 6th, 2021
M.Tech Renewable Energy,Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University,Kakinada (2018)

In JNTUK, there are no campus placements available for master’s degree holders. TCS sometimes visits for the interview of post-graduate students and only hires a few students depending on their performance in interviews.

The course is not recognized by AICTE so you won't get many opportunities after completing your course and won't even get any stipend through your GATE qualification.

It is better to prepare for IITs or IISC if you want a career in this field, as these institutes will help you a lot to achieve your goal. Also, a post-graduation from an IIT or IISC will add a boost to your career. It will also be very easy for you to opt for research internships or a Ph.D. if you are planning to do in the future.

It will be better to avoid this college and rather prepare for some better colleges such as IIT or IISC because there are no campus placements available here and neither you will get any kind of opportunities or exposure studying in JNTUK.

Is OD (Original degree) from JNTUK necessary to join a job in an MNC? Will they ask for it on the day of joining?

MD
Monali Dasgupta Posted On : November 8th, 2021
studied at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada

No, it is not necessary to provide OD at the time of joining a job in an MNC. If you have OD at the time of joining, you can use it. Otherwise, the mark memorandum with your marks throughout the 1-8 semesters will be sufficient. You can also get a course completing certificate from your college. You can talk to HR about it, they will cooperate.

Which is a better option, IIIT Allahabad, JNTUH, or JNTUK?

SS
Shambhavi Sharma Posted On : July 6th, 2021
B.Tech from Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad (2019)

JNTUH (Hyderabad) and JNTUK (Kakinada) are the local JNTUs that offers seats based on rank in TS Eamcet and AP Eamcet respectively while IIIT Allahabad is a Central Government Funded College that allocates seats based on rank achieved by the student in JEE Main.

  • Nevertheless, JNTUH has got a good reputation among all the colleges present in Hyderabad.
  • It is located in the heart of the city with all facilities available in a hand’s reach.
  • IIIT Allahabad has a good college environment but lacks only in location factor.
  • It is a better college when you compare college placement statistics.
  • Any branch in IIITA is better when compared to JNTU. CSE in JNTUH is known for its faculty.

Will a 2,000 rank in the AP EAMCET give a seat in JNTUK?

DB
Dishari Banerjee Posted On : January 17th, 2021
M.Tech in Chemical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Ropar (IITRPR) (2018)

This totally depends mainly upon your caste. If you are OBC/General, then you can get a seat in petrochemical engineering/petroleum engineering, which are quite good courses.

If you are from other castes and if you have reservation, then you will definitely get the branch you desired about.

You may also get your seat like this. In every exam, top students are of good ranks. So if all of them opt for NITs and IITs, seats in EAMCET-related colleges will be free, and you will certainly get your seat in JNTUK

The factual information to let you know better about ranks. Cutoffs of 2019 are -

General category

84559

OBC category

126934

SC category

129813

ST category

127773

PWD category

84559

Note: There may be differences in cutoffs as they depend upon the courses chosen by you.

With 2000 rank, it is possible to get seated in JNTUK through the AP EAMCET exam.

But the only thing is, it all depends on the opening and closing ranks of the corresponding branches over the past two years. So when choosing a certain branch option check briefly. You can review the opening and closing ranks of the branch if you are interested in joining (from the previous 2 years).
