How do I get admission into NMIMS for distance learning for an MBA?
The admission process for NMIMS distance MBA includes three steps, i.e. registration, submission of documents, and fee payment.
- First, fill up the registration form online and pay the admission processing fee.
- Visit Authorised Enrolment Partner with Passport Size Photograph, Photo Identity, Academic Documents, and Work Experience Document (if any). The academic counselor will verify the documents and upload the same.
- After the document verification, make the fee payment. You can do it online by drawing a demand draft in favor of ‘SVKM’s NMIMS’ payable at Mumbai. There are loan options available.
Once the above steps are completed, your admission will be confirmed. You will be issued a student number when the documents and payments are approved by the university. Re-registration for the July 2022 session has started and the last date is 16th September 2022.

Pros
- NMIMS ranks in the top 20 institutes in India as one of the top private institutes.
- There is no reservation or quota seats.
- You can appear for the NMAT thrice, but then it's a lot of time wastage.
- You'll get to spend two years in Mumbai which is the commercial centre of India.
- Your batchmates will range from myriad fields like medical, judicial, teaching, pharmacy and Even recent graduates. There'll be those with 0 experience and those with 10+ years of experience.
- Faculty to student ratio is good as well, despite the big batch size.
Cons
- It's an expensive institute
- The hostels are insufficient and many SBM MBA students have to reside in apartments near the college.
- The batch size is adding up each year hence placements might become a war zone in the near future.
NMIMS MBA is good, however, it doesn't depend on where you did your MBA from in the long run. As ultimately your overall performance will be taken into consideration.

How difficult is the post-NMAT process at NMIMS Mumbai?
Visiting the NMIMS Mumbai campus for your CDPI round may seem daunting, but remember that everything seems difficult until you experience it. Once you've cleared the cut-offs, you've completed 50% of the process, and the rest 50% includes the post-NMAT process. This involves writing an SOP (Statement of Purpose) explaining why you want to join NMIMS and pursue an MBA and submitting various documents, including your school board and graduation certificates.
You'll also be given a date and time slot for your Group Discussion and Personal Interview at the Mumbai Campus, and when you arrive, you'll be briefed about the events of the day and placed in a group. After a short tea break, you'll participate in a case discussion or group discussion round, where you'll be given a hypothetical situation or real-life case and asked to gather your thoughts and ideas about it for 5 minutes. The discussion will then last for 15 minutes, and the panelists will evaluate you based on your contribution, points, body language, and confidence.
During the case discussion, remember not to look at the panelists, maintain eye contact with the group members, speak valid points, be polite, not take names of fellow candidates, avoid pointing with your hands, and be aware of your body language. After the discussion, you'll be sent back to a common room and called for your personal interview within 5 to 10 minutes.
During the interview, be honest and confident. Don't say superficial things or boast about yourself. Answer the questions to the best of your knowledge, and don't hesitate to clarify if you don't understand something. Remember that this is your chance to demonstrate your skills, strengths, and passion for pursuing an MBA at NMIMS.

It is a close call between SPJIMR and JBIMS. NMIMS is not in the same league as these but it is a decent B-School and ranked among the top 30 in India. JBIMS has the highest rank. Indiatoday 2021 ranked the institute 12 for MBA.
JBIMS offers better ROI. Course fees for the institute are INR 6.05 Lakhs. While the average CTC for the institute is INR 27 LPA, according to JBIMS placements highlights of 2022. If you are interested in Finance, you should choose JBIMS.

What is the cut off rank to get btech in CSE in MPSTME, NMIMS through NPAT?
Usually, students ranking in the top 300, get CSE, or IT at MPSTME, NMIMS. But this is just a tentative score. There is no such specific cutoff system. NMIMS Cutoff varies each year depending on the availability of seats.
So, try to score a good rank, to be safe. Since most students choose CSE or IT, the required cutoff remains high.
