Computer Science and Engineering is one of the most preferred streams by the students while pursuing a B.Tech degree. DIT University Dehradun and ITM University Gwalior offer a B.Tech degree to highly efficient students.

Admission

  • DIT University: Admissions for the ECE branch is given through merit-based counseling based on the ranking of JEE Main. 10% of seats are reserved for XII board toppers. 10% of seats are reserved for NRI candidates.
  • ITM University: For admission in ITM University Gwalior, applicants have to give the entrance exam named ITM NEST.

Infrastructure Facilities

  • DIT University: Project laboratory at DIT University consists of instruments like PCB Prototype Machine, 20 MHz Digital Storage Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyser, Wireless In-site Pro Module, Academic License of MATLAB.

The Mechanical Engineering Department at ITM University Gwalior established in 2011 is considered one of the preferred departments by the applicants. Students take admission in ITM due to the facilities provided to them by the University along with academic excellence.

Campus

There can be no other better source of knowledge than a library. The library is filled with thousands of books and research journals. Classrooms are well furnished and spacious.

Admissions

  • To take admission in B.Tech, students have to appear either in ITM NEST or on the basis of the score of JEE.
  • For admission in PG courses, a valid score of GATE or CSIR NET is required along with a 55% aggregate in graduation.
  • Students can pursue Graduation in Mechanical Engineering followed by post-graduation in the same field with a specialization in VLSI or Communications system.

For Computer Science and Engineering, Chandigarh University is a better choice. Top MNCs recruit students from CU. The university has received record placements in Northern India.

Chandigarh University CSE average package is around INR 7 LPA. While the highest CTC offered to the students of this branch is INR 35 LPA.

Which is the best out of ITM University Gwalior or IPS Academy?

ITM University Gwalior is much more well known as compared to the IPS academy. However, depending on the department one wishes to take admission in, the quality of education will differ. Placements are taken very seriously at ITM University, Gwalior. Both campuses, Sithouli and Turari, have well-established companies visiting the institutes every year in order to hire students. All students are exposed to rigorous rounds of training and mock interviews to prepare them for the best on placement day. Some highlights regarding placements at both campuses have been mentioned below:

  • A large number of companies like BYJU’s, Visa Steels, Ceasefire Industries Ltd., Wipro, etc. visit the institute annually.
  • Placement drives are majorly held for B. Tech, B.E. as well as MBA and MCA students.
  • The pay package on average, ranges from INR 3 lakhs per annum to about 12 lakhs per annum depending upon the company the student is recruited into.
  • Most MBA students work as assistant managers, operations executives, business development managers, and HR managers among others.
