Hope this gives you a comprehensive idea of the placement scenario at IIT Dhanbad.
If you are an average student then your previous experience, CV, and performance in GD/PI would matter the most in final placements.
Experience: If you have any experience then companies are likely to pick them for similar roles during summers and final placements.
CV: Focus on the matters the most, CV construction and articulation. There are plenty of sites on the internet to help. A good CV will help you to get many more interviews than other batchmates. One should put a lot of effort into that.
GD/PI: Preparation for Group Discussion and the Personal Interview should be a mixture of personal questions, current affairs, academic questions, industry or sector, company in that order.
You should be able to articulate your interview to be able to demonstrate these attributes. The interviewers are usually experienced enough to see through the lies of the students.
Yes, it's kind of true that KIIT University has been recording excellent placement percentages over the last few years. This year it recorded 90% placements while last year it recorded 92% placements.
KIIT University has a very dedicated T and P Cell that is well aware that placement is the main criterion to analyze the college's worth. It works relentlessly throughout the year with HRs of different companies at different levels. Whenever a mass-recruiting company is planning to visit, thorough placement training takes place.
Here is what the placements at KIIT look like
KIIT has managed to maintain a good placement scenario thanks to the relentless efforts of the T and P cell. The efforts are reflected in the following statistics:

So yes, KIIT has great placements!
IIT BHU placements are decent for Ceramic Engineering. But very few students get core placements. Tata Steel is among the core recruiters that take part in the campus drive.
Most students are recruited in non-core job profiles such as Software Developer, Data Scientist, etc. The highest CTC offered for the students of this branch is around INR 38 LPA.
I will mention the placement statistics of both and let you decide if IIM Calcutta has placements as good as that of IIM Ahmedabad.

Following are my insight from the above comparison:
So I don’t think there is much difference between the placement scenarios at IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Calcutta.
Completing an M.Tech in Intelligent Systems from IIIT, Allahabad can open up a wide range of career opportunities in various fields. Here are some possible career paths and job opportunities you could explore:
IIIT Allahabad has a strong reputation in the field of Intelligent Systems, and graduates from the program have gone on to successful careers in various industries. Additionally, the institute has a strong placement record, and many top companies visit the campus for recruitment. So, you could also expect good placement opportunities after completing your M.Tech in Intelligent Systems from IIIT Allahabad.
The placement scenario is quite good at NMIMS Mumbai. According to the reviews online, they provide ample opportunities for jobs in MNC’s. Lots of reputed companies visit the campus during their placement process choosing the deserving candidates. Hence the competition is usually high.
But the one thing that students have shown their concern about are the salary packages offered. The data in the website is said to be inflated to attract more candidates. But in a more true sense the salary packages are really less than portrayed. The college claims to provide an average salary package ranging from 15-16 LPA, mostly the students are offered 9-10 LPA.
The course BBA is really good and full of opportunities, but it is suggested that you complete MBA also to get a better salary package from a reputed company like KPMG, EY, American Express, ICICI Bank, etc. They have a highly experienced faculty, so you will get to learn a lot.
According to official data received from the college, the highest package offered during the placement drives in 2020 was INR 19 Lakhs per Annum which was offered for an international job role. The highest domestic package offered was INR 16.25 Lakhs per Annum. The average package is to be INR 7.5 Lakhs per annum.
These things and aspects generally do not matter as much and the value a college provides should not be based on these. The sham of the highest package offered during placements is best not followed to judge the quality of a college.
First of all, preparing for placements is a continuous process. You should never make this mistake to pile up things for the last moment. You should start preparing by brushing up your existing knowledge from the initial days only. In the final month of placement, you should only revise the concepts both basics and advanced. Here are some of the resources that you can follow for your preparation.
You can go through two websites, i.e. GeeksforGeeks and Glassdoor to learn about interview experiences.

To succeed in your academic and career pursuits, it is essential to focus on your studies and excel in your thesis project. If your interests lie outside of the core field, such as finance, analytics, or consultancy, it is important to develop your coding skills and hone your non-technical abilities. You can also gain extracurricular credits by taking advantage of the many opportunities available at IIT Bombay.
Ultimately, if you have the ability and drive, attending IIT Bombay is a rewarding experience that can provide you with the time of your life.
