I have a choice between IT (Information Technology) in NIT, Surathkal and CS (computer science) in RVCE, Bangalore. Which one would be a better choice in terms of placements, Brand name etc.?
Between the options, you should choose NIT Surathkal IT. Here are the reasons why.
- The syllabus difference between IT and CSE is not so much in this institute.
- The placement process in the institute is exceptional, specifically for the circuit branches, including IT, CSE, ECE, and EEE. However, in the last year, students are recruited by Google and Microsoft.
- NITK has its own brand name. Maybe it is an NIT, but the students here get a lot of exposure. JEE Mains toppers mainly take admission in this institute every year.

Which is better, IIIT Sonipat, IIIT Una, or IIIT Vadodara?
Direct communication cannot be compared but one of my friends suggested that IIIT Vadodara is an older institute in comparison to the others. The placement officer of IIIT V is good and will be helping in getting good placements by calling good companies to the campus. The college also sends for internships in companies like Amazon. Since IIIT Una has recently opened, it is not working independently. This college has no relation with NIT Hamirpur which makes it a bit risky.
IIIT Sonepat is much better in terms of placement. The reason is that the companies find it much closer in distance as compared to other institutions. It can be suggested that you first check admission at IIIT Sonepat then at IIIT Vadodara and then go for IIIT Una.
It is always suggested to look for more information from the old alumni IIIT V as they will better tell you about the past placements.
Which one is more prestigious, a B.A.L.L.B from NLSIU, Bangalore, a B.Tech from IIT or an Arts degree from St. Stephen's College, DU?
These are three very different fields that can not be compared with each other whatsoever. Each of them is prestigious in itself. They can not be put in an order. Still, here are some basic points worth mentioning.
- If earning a decent amount of money is your ultimate goal, it is suggested that you go for IIT, as it will provide you with the most straightforward career path.
- If you aspire to be in a powerful or influential position, you can opt for NLSIU. But this will require immense hard work and practical training.
- If you want to study in a popular institution and their brand value interests you more, go for IIT.
- If you are competent enough, you can opt for NLSIU, as it is claimed to be tougher than the IITs as well.
A more important question that you should ask yourself is “What does my interest lie in?” The way you pursue the course will decide its worth then. You should make sure that you flourish in whatever you do and build a good career out of it.
Which is better, new IITs or BITS Hyderabad and Goa?
There are several parameters on which one can compare BITS Hyderabad/Goa with the new IITs. Some of them are-
- Infrastructure- BITS have a much better infrastructure as compared to the new IITs. Moreover, at BITS, one gets single occupancy hostel rooms from the first year itself.
- Education- In terms of education, all the IITs, NITs and BITs are mostly at par with one another. But BITS doesn’t have an attendance criteria, unlike the IITs. This comes as a relief, especially if one is preparing for some entrance exams on the side.
- Brand Name- BITS Pilani is as big a brand as the old IITs, and BITS Hyderabad/Goa are comparable in that sense to the new IITs.
- Placements- BITS Hyderabad/Goa are slightly better at overall placements, but the scenario is better for core jobs at new IITs.
- Campus life- The campus life and senior-junior interaction is again better at BITS campuses.
The decision is yours, but you won’t regret choosing any of these colleges.
What is the best MBA college in Bangalore amongst these three: Don Bosco Group, National School of Business & IIBS?
One of my friends has told me that IIBS is not so good for studying MBA, as he was in the first batch of this institute. The college administrators have lied from their first day, and he is sure enough that it is still there.
- When my friend saw the building and experienced the administration, he becomes terrified, although he is well-placed now due to his arduous work and concentration.
- The placement opportunity for the first batch was horrible, but some of the students got offered in Dubai. The college has been investing in many students for its advertising.
- Students from low financial backgrounds are forced ridiculously to sell their savings account and their credit cards in the placement. Thus, many students were compelled to return to their homes as they already have heavy loans for their studies.
- Students crowd is mostly from UP and Bihar, with their nasty behaviors and manners and their rural laden converse. It should not be the environment of an MBA college.
- One of the ex-director, namely Biswas, of this institute always misguided the students. At the time of admission, he talked very nicely, but after taking the admission, the student will understand how bad he is.
- College MD is very cunning, and he speaks very little but observes the people a lot. So the student must be conscientious if they will take admission through this person because this person earns approximately 40K as a referral code for the student admission.
Thus, the best suggestion is to study for CAT to get a better score and find the best MBA College rather than IIBS.
Which is better: an IT at the IIIT Allahabad, CSE at NIT Rourkela or CSE at MANIT Bhopal?
One of my friends told me that these three institutes must be in this order like; IIIT A>>> NIT Bhopal>= NIT Rourkela. Although he was a student of NIT Rourkela.
He stated that between these three, Rourkela and Bhopal are more or less equal. However, both of these institutes consist of some advantages and disadvantages as well.
If NIT Bhopal is considered and compared with NIT Rourkela, then it must be said that NIT Bhopal's strength is a large batch size; IT+CSE. But the main advantage of NIT Bhopal is the location and nearby airport transport facilities that conceal all the advantages of this institute. For this reason, NIT Bhopal experiences big recruiters every year, and NIT Rourkela misses this entirely. This is the reason why NIT Bhopal is one step ahead of NIT Rourkela.

However, at NIT Rourkela, M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) is almost similar to doing M.Tech in IITs. But in the case of Bhopal, the students can sit for placements for all the big companies in the campus recruitment process along with B.Tech companies. It will be better to avoid IIIT Allahabad for doing M.Tech in CSE, as placement opportunities in this institute are not good. This thing is that IIIT Allahabad does not allow M.Tech students to attend for placement in the on-campus recruitment process.
Thus, it can be stated that for the B.Tech course, IIIT Allahabad>> NIT Bhopal> NIT Rourkela.
Which is better, ISB Hyderabad or IIM Ahmedabad for 1 year executive MBA?
ISB Hyderabad is certainly a better choice than IIM Ahmedabad for a 1 year MBA executive. It has better faculty, an international student profile, an amazing campus, and more than 800 students in a single batch. The admission process is also simpler than IIM Ahmedabad. ISB Hyderabad has a much more diverse crowd than IIM Ahmedabad which usually comprises CS-related people.
PGP-X at IIMA is its flagship program whereas the one-year program in ISB is their main program so it carries more value and more focus is given to that program.
IIM Ahmedabad too has its own perks one of them being its rich legacy of 50+ years and an excellent alumni enterprise spread across the globe. Also, since the batch is smaller the competition is less so the placement opportunities are more. Recruiters coming to hire PGP students also roll out lateral offers for PGP-X students.
Ultimately, choose the one that aligns with your personal preferences and future goals.
Which is a better option for EEE, NIT Trichy, or BITS Goa?
You will find that both NIT TRICHY and BITS Goa are excellent colleges for EEE, and they can be rated on par based on the following parameters:

- Infrastructure
- Labs
- Campus Interviews
- Academic Rigour
- Hostels
- Technical and Cultural Festivals
- Campus Life
- Peer groups
- Mess food
If you have a financial constraint, you may find it beneficial to join NIT TRICHY since their fees are less than half of BITS.
Alternatively, if you value having a flexible timetable where you get to choose your own professors, or if you prefer the concept of zero attendance policy, BITS may be a better fit for you.
