What are some helpful tips for students starting their first year at CSVTU?

BS
Bhavna Singh, Posted On : October 25th, 2021
B.E.(comp science engg.) from Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University (2019)

One of my friends recently graduated from CSVTU. According to him if you abide by certain rules your college life will be easier.

  • The most important thing to become an engineer is to choose whether you will go for a job or higher studies, then prepare accordingly.
  • Start preparing for GATE/CAT/XMAT examinations from your second year of engineering and try not to have a backlog in any engineering exams.
  • You need to understand that the marks and university do not make much impact. It is your profile and skills that matter.
  • To attend all the college functions, sports events, etc. This will help in your holistic development.
  • Do study from textbooks as per syllabus, and practice questions.
  • Solve previous year’s university questions. Try doing a proper revision before any exam.
  • Instead of mugging up theories, learn and understand the concept thoroughly.

Overall, try enjoying your college life as this is a major place where you can grow and create your individuality. Along with academics try to be also enthusiastic about extracurriculars as they will be beneficial as well.

Vivek Gaur Posted On : December 31st, 2022

Some words that describe my brother's experience at FMS Delhi are relaxing, fun, and knowledgeable. Yes! FMS offers a blend of all three.

  • With minimal pressure on academics, you can involve yourself in extracurricular activities or even pursue a hobby of your own. You can explore and make new friends. This adds to the quality of your college experience.
  • The learning experience here is also diverse and not just restricted to classes and exams. It provides a practical approach to theoretical knowledge through the Alpha Investment and Research Club.
  • Also since there is no hostel facility available, you have to look on your own for lodging and flooding. This prepares you for the challenges in life.
  • The high ROI is the brightest aspect of FMS. You spend the two years without any financial burden. Also when you have completed your MBA and landed a job, you have no burden to repay any kind of educational loan. This kickstarts a stress-free and quality career.

So FMS is a fun place to be provided that you manage your time well.

What is it like to study in the Kalasalingam University?

RK
Rohit Kalyan Posted On : January 14th, 2022
B.Tech from Kalasalingam University (2019)

One of my friends studied at Kalasalingam University. According to him the college was average but it had several improvements too, but still the institute did not change as expected. There are many things problematic with the college, these include:

  • The overall infrastructure of the campus is fine, but the hostels are not well maintained.
  • The rooms are not hygienic enough and there is always a scarcity of pure drinking water.
  • The food offered in the mess is also not hygienic nor healthy.
  • The washrooms are not cleaned regularly.
  • There is also a scarcity of bathing water.
  • No mobiles are allowed inside the campus. Laptops can be used only for educational purposes before the classes start or post 8 PM.
  • To reach your block you have to walk for almost 2 kilometers.
  • Security in the hostels are bad, often things go missing.
  • Communication skills of professors are too bad, which is a very bad influence on the students.

Therefore, it is suggested that you do not consider this institution for your studies, as it offers a very bad environment which can impact a student’s intellectual growth.

One of my friends studied at Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) Amritsar. According to him, the environment is really good, green and clean.

  • It has a well-maintained infrastructure. There are big classrooms, auditoriums and renovated hostels for both boys and girls.
  • GNDU Amritsar has an experienced faculty who are known to be very cooperative.
  • The course curriculum is also good as it familiarizes students with the current industry trends.
  • GNDU Amritsar B.Tech placements are really good. Both on-campus and off-campus placements are held.
  • Students maintaining a good overall performance get recruited by top IT firms and organizations.

Other departments like Chemistry, Law, Political Science, Food and Technology, Architecture are really good. There is no union of students like a political body makes it a bit better. Very few cultural programs take place here. The library is the most peaceful part of the campus and is accessible to all the students anytime.

What branch is better to join at RGPV Bhopal to get a good campus selection?

RL
Rupali Lalwani Posted On : November 3rd, 2022
B. Tech from Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya , Bhopal (Graduated 2017)

LNCT, Oriental, and RGPV are some of the better colleges for campus selection in Bhopal. According to recent stats, LNCT has been offering the highest placements in MP in the last 2 years.

Major companies like: CTS, TCS, INFOSYS, HCL, WIPRO, L&T, ZENSAR, ORANGE, ARICENT, etc have visited LNCT for placement drives.

The prime branches like MC, CE, and EE have fewer companies visiting for campus recruitment with an average package of 1.8-3.0 LPA. If you are looking for higher packages in core branches, then definitely opt for post-graduation/GATE. Well-reputed public sector companies like NTPC, BHEL, ONGC, etc. require high GATE scorecards for their interviews.
