Among the two IITs, IIT Roorkee will be a better choice because of its brand name and industry connections. The placements at IIT R are top notch. On the other hand, if you choose IIIT Hyderabad, you’ll get the benefit of a great coding culture, and this institute also delivers really good placements in CSE.
Out of my personal experience, I can assure you that IIT Roorkee is a great choice for your M.Tech CSE in terms of opportunities, faculty, academics, and placements.

LPU has been ranked 99th (overall) by NIRF and the Engineering department has been ranked 87th by NIRF 2020. Whereas Sharda University has been ranked 92nd for Engineering by India Today.

I am a second year B.Tech Mechanical student at Christ University Bangalore. I do not know much about PES Electronic City campus, but I can give some insight into my own university.
I was suggested to join Christ University for my engineering studies by my elder sister. She has some friends at the time who were also pursuing their B.Tech from Christ.
I selected Christ for engineering studies because-
- It follows a good curriculum with a decent grading system.
- The faculty is experienced and good at teaching.
- Christ offers good facilities to students. The university library is huge, and it has a vast collection of books related to engineering studies.
- The campus environment is good, there are sports facilities, and the campus also has a swimming pool.
- According to 2024 placement figures, B.Tech has received the highest package offer of 20 LPA among all the different courses offered at the university.
These are some reasons why I would suggest you choose Christ University Bangalore for your B.Tech Mechanical degree.

I am currently pursuing B.Tech CSE at LPU. According to me, LPU is one of the best institutes for BTech in Computer Science because of its excellent academics, top placements, scholarship facility, and more.
LPU was ranked 50 by NIRF in 2023 for its Engineering courses. Other than that, LPU has attained the 3rd rank because of the coding expertise demonstrated by its students on the International Coding Platform- HackerEarth. More than 90 students of B.Tech Computer Science at LPU cleared the TCS National Qualifier Test (NQT). The highest package offered to B.Tech Computer Science students at LPU is around INR 64 LPA, and the average package is around INR 14.97 LPA.
I don’t know much about Amity Gwalior, but LPU is definitely a good choice for B.Tech Computer Science.
