How is the ROI of IMS Ghaziabad..is it worth doing PGDM from there?

BS
Baharika Sopori Posted On : February 13th, 2023
BBA from Institute of Management Studies, Ghaziabad (Graduated 2019)

I wouldn’t call IMA Ghaziabad an excellent Institute. Rather it’s an average decent college with average placement statistics. The recent pass-outs and students are not fully satisfied with the college’s performance in terms of ROI and roles offered in placements. Substandard job profiles were offered and students have harshly criticized the systems.

Go for a college where getting admission is not a cakewalk rather it is challenging.

Contact alumni through your LinkedIn profile and enquire about the job profile stability and average take-home salary. If you are still very sure don’t just take admission half-heartedly and attempt CAT, and MAT again to target better colleges. This is better than joining IMS Ghaziabad under the pretext of 100% placement when in reality there is no job stability due to bulk hire.

What makes IIM Kashipur unique?

AK
Avinash Karumanchi Posted On : January 6th, 2023
PGDM from Indian Institute of Management Kashipur (Graduated 2018)

Most people praise IIM Kashipur for its excellent architecture and scenic location.

My brother was a pass out of IIM Kashipur and according to him what set the campus apart from other campuses was the sense of individualism it offered. You have a feeling that you belong not just to an IIM but to IIM Kashipur which is unique. You have a different aura along with a sense of individualism that molds you into an excellent leader.

The students are loners who belong to their nation more than any state, linguistic group, or committee for that matter. Although only half or less of the batch has this mindset, it’s satisfying to watch them grow individually. Exceptions include some grouping and communism on the basis of geographical diversity.

Tiyasha Sen, Posted On : October 20th, 2021
BE Information Science and Engineering, Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering, Mysuru (2018)

One of my friends from North India studied at SJCE Mysore. According to him, it is one of the cleanest cities in India. To analyze a college we need to know some important facts about it. Let me share what I got to know from him.

  • College Ranking: SJCE is considered among the top 5 private colleges in Karnataka. The ranking seems to improve every year.
  • Study Environment: Being located in Mysore, it is comparatively cleaner and more peaceful for an educational institution.
  • Student Crowd: Many top-ranking students of KCET and COMEDK get admission here, which develops a healthy competition among the students.
  • Faculty: The faculty members are highly experienced and very supportive of their students.
  • Hostel: The rooms are well maintained and very clean. Even the food served at the hostel is healthy and hygienic.
  • Library: It provides a huge collection of books and other reading materials. It can feel a bit strict as if you fail to return a book after 15 days, a late fine is charged.
  • Extracurricular Activities: There are many clubs for dancing, singing, and drama and technical clubs like LCC, CSI, and IEEE. The sports club is also very active. They bag many prizes at the state level and regional level every year.

 Placements:

Categories University of Mysore
Course Fee 1.31 lakh (approx.)
Highest CTC 10-12 LPA
Average CTC 5-6 LPA
Recruiting Companies Accenture, L&T, Infotech, Cognizant, etc.

At the University of Mysore, there are people from all over India. Hence you will enjoy a very culturally diverse crowd. It is easier for students to blend in as the people of Mysore are very accepting.

Vidhant Sharma Posted On : December 7th, 2022
B.Tech in Production and Industrial Engineering, National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra (Graduated 2022)

My brother was a day scholar at NIT Jalandhar and according to him being a day scholar in NIT Jalandhar is not easy. You might face several issues as a day scholar.

  • Making friends becomes more difficult as no one prefers a day scholar

  • You cannot enjoy the freedom of a hostel life

Is the faculty hostel campus professors of Malda Medical College West Bengal good?

JB
Jyotirmoy Bhowmik Posted On : October 20th, 2021
Completed MBBS from Malda Medical College and Hospital in 2020

The answer for this question depends on your perspective. If you are a resident of Malda, whether you are from a more developed area and the lifestyle you are used to.

  • Compared to the institutes in Kolkata, Malda Medical College is new.
  • As it is new, the hostels are obviously in a good condition.
  • The hostels are also well maintained.
  • If you come across problems, they will be taken care of as soon as possible.
  • There is a shortage of rooms in the hostels but that problem is being taken care of.
  • The rooms are more or less clean.
  • Food from the canteen is cheap but it is not worth it.
Categories Malda Medical College West Bengal
Course Fee (approx.) 40,000 - 1.24 lakh
Highest CTC 15-18 LPA
Average CTC 3-4 LPA

Lastly, it can be said that you can only trust homemade food as the food quality in the canteen is very bad. The campus is not that big and there is not even a playground on the campus. Also, the faculty are rotated in all the medical colleges of West Bengal so you will never find a professor in the college all the time.

Is PGDAV College (Evening) good in terms of its people and atmosphere?

DS
Deepika Sengupta Posted On : November 20th, 2021
studied at Pannalal Girdharlal Dayanand Anglo Vedic, University of Delhi

The college life and peer group at PGDAV depends on the course you are choosing. Few of my friends pursued their B.Com (H) from this college and they vouch for the teaching faculty and peer group. It is also a great option for studies related to drama, theater acting, singing, etc. From time to time there can be problems at the campus but it is part of college life.
