Honestly speaking all the B Schools you mentioned are just glamorous brand names with no real value. The placement scenario is very pathetic here as the companies that visit are looking for students who can work at fewer salaries. Only the extremely meritorious students get good packages and that too is rare.

So I will suggest that if you have scored 95+ in CAT, then you are capable of more. So work hard and target a better B School next year. Remove these colleges from your list of options and attempt CAT again.

If you are not very sure about attempting CAT again then prepare yourself for a package as low as 5-6 LPA.

I got call letter from BIMTECH Greater Noida for admission to PGDM course but my college exams are clashing with the interview date. What should I do?

RS
Rishi Sharma Posted On : September 15th, 2021
MBA from SVKM's NMIMS (2016)

One of my friends graduated from BIMTECH and having read online reviews regarding this here are a few things worth mentioning:

  • Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) was established in 1988.
  • It has been accredited with an ‘A+’ grade by NAAC.
  • BIMTECH offers two years of Full-Time AICTE approved post-graduate diploma courses in PGDM in General Management, PGDM in International Business, PGDM in Insurance Business Management, and PGDM in Retail Management.

It is advised that you should send an email to BIMTECH and attach your exam datasheet along with it. Tell them that due to your exams it’s not possible to attend the PI process. The PI process will be either preponed or postponed according to your convenience. They generally have a flexible schedule for the interview date.

Which is good college, BIMTECH Greater Noida or LBSIM?

TA
Tithi Aggrawal Posted On : May 4th, 2023
Lives in New Delhi

To give you a better understanding, the following answer is using the three Cs to compare:

  1. Curriculum: If someone has very clear job goals, he or she might want to look into B-schools that offer a specialization in that field. Also, you might want to go to a college with a program that you can change to fit your needs. For example, BIMTECH has a program that is updated every year because the business world is always changing. Students at LBSIM, on the other hand, spend the first few years taking core classes and can also take a foreign language as an elective.
  2. Communication: You can get a good idea of this by looking at how often and how much the school's selection committee interacts with you. At BIMTECH, the admissions office is known for making real connections that start with the application process. If you think of LBSIM, it too has great ways to board, stay, and use other services.
  3. Culture: Getting a sense of the culture at any school is important if you want to decide if the program is a good fit for you. Start your evaluation by figuring out if the attitude is mostly competitive or collaborative. When it comes to a college’s culture, there is no right or wrong. Instead, you should choose the place where you think you will do best.

CAT cut-off for a B-School is a good way to figure out how good it is. The cutoff for LBSIM is around 85+ percentile and the cutoff for BIMTECH is around 75 percentile. It is clear that LBSIM has a much better intake, which makes group learning even better. Also, LBSIM has the best return on investment (ROI) of any school in its field.

TA

Three hostels are present on campus. Girls resides in on-campus hostels and boys in off-campus ones. In one off-campus hostel, boys and girls can't enter each other's rooms.

All males live at the off-campus dorm in the first year and share rooms. In the second year, only the PGDM male students get to live on campus hostels. In the off-campus hostel, other students live.

Each cluster comprises 4 single rooms in the on-campus hostels. Each off-campus hostel cluster contains 8 double bedrooms. It's the same. Each cluster contains a fridge, LCD TV, sofa, and LAN, and each room has air conditioning. The college offers a free shuttle to the off-campus hotel, around 1 km from campus. All floors have water spigots and microwaves. Standard washing machines and a free laundry service are available.

BIMTECH is a 34-year-old private b-school located in Greater Noida for MBA aspirants. The college is backed by the legendary Birla Group. Established in 2004, Jaipuria Institute of Management (JIM), Noida has completed almost 20 years of excellence in management education. JIM is ranked 28th amongst Private B-Schools in India by CSR-GHRDC, 2022, and 51st amongst all Management Institutes of India by NIRF rankings of 2022.

Jaipuria Noida offers flagship two-year full-time AICTE Approved, NBA accredited and AIU-recognised PGDM programs (PGDM, PGDM (SM), and PGDM (MARKETING) and Doctoral level Fellow Program in Management.

Is there single room occupancy in bimtech?

AA
Ankit Agrawal Posted On : April 18th, 2023
Former Student at Birla Institute of Management Technology

There are four different programmes that are taken at BIMTECH. Hostel rooms are provided to male students who are enrolled in the PGDM programme, which is considered the school's flagship programme.

For the other three courses, the availability of rooms is determined by a variety of different criteria. These considerations include the number of vacancies that were left after admitting the PGDM 2nd year batch, the number of male students who are enrolled in the 2nd year batch of each of the other three programmes, and the number of new ladies that were admitted in the 1st year. The administration will decide whether students from PGDM IB, PGDM RM, or PGDM IBM will be given rooms based on these considerations. The courses in question are: PGDM IB, PGDM RM, and PGDM IBM. However, the boys' hostel only has 212 rooms, therefore there is a restricted selection of available rooms to choose from.
