Indian business institutions IIFT and SCMHRD provide MBA programs in international commerce and management. Pros and drawbacks of each school:
Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT)
Pros:
Cons:
When choosing a business school, investigate and analyze your personal and professional aspirations. Visit the campus and talk to students and alumni to learn about the school's culture and opportunities.
Someone I know who is an alumnus of SCMHRD has said that finding out which college is better will bear little to no fruits.
You can get in touch with the professionals from both programs and try to understand what you will have to do in order to make a name for yourself. An internal analysis is involved after which it is gauged what field would be the most suitable for you.
NMIMS is popular for producing marketing professionals. Finance is also popular in the institute. Analytics is not the flagship course of SCMHRD. They are very different courses and your temperament and aptitude are also contributing factors.
Based on the 2021-23 placement report, SMHRD witnessed 100% placement in all the domains including HR, Sales & Marketing, Finance, Infrastructure Development & Management, and Business Analytics.

In terms of location, SCMHRD is one step ahead of XIMB because the former is closer to Mumbai, the financial capital of India.
In spite of both institutes having an equally strong alumni network but as HR is the strong point of SCMHRD, it edges out XIMB in this regard as well. Marketing is also very strong in SCMHRD.
So, my senior recommended SCMHRD. Consulting is the forte of XIMB. However, both colleges are unique in their own ways.
SCMHRD is an educational institution that values superior education. MBA Core, MBA in Infrastructure Development and Management, and MBA in Business Analytics are the three programs offered by the college.
The course curriculum is designed to provide students with solid theoretical knowledge and experience. A normal day begins at 9.30 a.m. Some days, classes are held till 8 p.m. Many industry leaders come to campus to provide guest lectures and participate in panel discussions. After class, students complete case contests and assignments. Aside from internships, students are exposed to a wealth of live project opportunities.
The college committees contribute significantly to the student-driven culture. Students from throughout the country contribute to the overall diversity. Many renowned industrial executives have graduated from the university. It is a site that its alumni remember fondly. In a nutshell, it is an excellent place to live and study!

When considering whether to attend IIM Raipur or another institute, it is important to consider a variety of factors. Both IIM Raipur and SCMHRD offer good placement opportunities for Marketing, however, the faculty and the curriculum may differ. It is recommended to attend lectures and evaluate which institute's faculty aligns more with your learning style and goals.
IIM Raipur has a strong reputation in the field of marketing and has won several marketing-related business school competitions over the years, making it a good choice for students interested in this domain.
From a long-term perspective, having an IIM tag on your resume can be beneficial. It makes you a part of a larger alumni pool and can open up many opportunities in the future. Many premium job portals have a criterion of "IIMs/ISB/XLRI/MDI only" for certain job openings, which could be a factor to consider when looking for post-MBA job opportunities.
It is important to keep in mind that the choice ultimately depends on the individual student's priorities and preferences. The information provided is only a guide to help in the decision-making process.
The intake for the batch for this program in SCMHRD is only 60. The program of Infrastructure Development and Management is offered by very few institutes in India, and this program by SCMHRD is at the top of the list. SCMHRD is already a well-established brand in the higher education segment. Due to the privatization of the infrastructure and development market, the demand for management in the field has increased, and with that, the demand for working professionals from the management field also increased. So, I recommend you to pursue this program. The major batch intake is from an engineering background, with almost half of the batch as freshers. The average CTC offered for this program is 16.11 lac per annum, while the highest salary offered is 27 lac per annum.

CAT is a challenging exam that takes substantial preparation and devotion to get 98 percentile or higher. Need to appear for 10-12 mocks before the exam to know the weak areas and work on that.
