Out of textile engineering from VJTI and CS from KJ Somaiya, CS from Somaiya will be a better choice. As one of my friends studied there, I am able to share some facts about it.

Choosing textile engineering from the VJTI can get a bit tricky further in your career. CSE is a much more reliable branch on which to focus your career. But if a person is interested in the textile branch and without any second thought, opt for VJTI, and if not then for KJ Somaiya.
What should I choose, VJTI Mumbai or Walchand COE Sangli?
VJTI has been ranked #71st on the NIRF chart in 2020 and Walchand COE ranks #168th on the same. The CSE program at VJTI saw the most placements in 2018 according to the placement data. The placement rate of the department was 96.2 % which was the highest in comparison to other departments. Following it was Electronics with an 86.9% placement rate.

- It has a number of industry partners like Infosys, Microsoft, John Deere, IBM, TCS, and Tech Mahindra who recruit students after training them and on the campus.
- In 2019, Akshay Gabby from a BTech program secured an offer with Internet Business, Japan with the highest placement of INR 21 LPA.
VJTI:
- It has seen major recruitments facilitated by Accenture, Bank of America, Citrus Tech, Cisco, and Samsung.
- The highest package since 2018 has been offered by Morgan Stanley, which is INR 16.75 LPA.
Students are free to choose any of the institutes based on their future goals if they coincide with the facilities, and placement facts listed above.
Which is better, a CS at VIT, VJTI, BITS Goa, BITS Hyderabad, or NIT?
I think you should consider VJTI College to pursue a CS course. My reasons for choosing VJTI are:
- VJTI is one of the best engineering colleges in Maharashtra known for its robust CS course. The program focuses on research and innovation helping students to develop a solid foundation in the basics of CS.
- CS students from VJTI compete in several hackathons every year showing the level of education provided to students.
- The college also has a dedicated in-house research centre for CoE as well.
- Final-year CS students are also exposed to internships to apply their knowledge and skills in real-world scenarios.
- The students are also placed in GSOC every year. VJTI also boast a strong industry connection that helps CS students secure job offers from top companies.
If I am interested in mechanical engineering, which is better, COEP, the College of Engineering Pune, or VJTI in Mumbai, and are they both comparable to VNIT in Nagpur?
As a student you should check the following areas and take them into consideration while choosing a particular institution.
Research- VNIT, and COEP beats VJTI in these criteria. Students can do research here under college professors on winter vacations.
Placements-
- VNIT provides unpaid internships to students through the alumni association.
- IT companies offer job opportunities to people from computer science, electronics, electrical with a CGPA of 7. The same scenario is present in VJTI and COEP. They may provide better opportunities than VNIT.

- VNIT is best in terms of campus life. There are ample hostel facilities for the students.
- Students can interact and socialize with people not only from Maharashtra but from all over India.
- There are almost eight batches for the department with 60-90 students.
Student Activities- VNIT excels in expectations than COEP & VJTI with myriad festivals, clubs, and extra-curricular.
Research after Bachelors’- Lots of VNIT students get themselves into research work after their graduation. However, there is no available information for VJTI and COEP.
Considering all the aspects listed above, VNIT seems a better choice for mechanical engineering than COEP Pune and VJTI Mumbai.
Should I take admission in CSE at IIIT Vadodara or CE at Sardar Patel or VJTI in Mumbai?
While all three institutes are equally well established, VJTI is accredited by AICTE, Sardar Patel College of Engineering is NBA, UGC as well as AICTE approved. Lastly, IIIT Vadodra is approved by MHRD. When making a choice between the three, students can consider placements, fees, and eligibility as well as course curriculum at all three institutes.

- 93% of students were placed as of 2019 from the civil engineering department.
- The average package offered at the institute was INR 4.2 lakhs per annum with top recruiters including Hindustan Unilever, L&T, Lodha, etc.
Placement wise, VJTI is quite well established. Students can also consider the fee parameter when it comes to making a choice between the three institutes and their interest in either course.
Which is better, VNIT Nagpur or VJTI Mumbai?
- According to me, VJTI Mumbai is better than VNIT Nagpur. VNIT Nagpur is famous for its engineering programs, offering students with environment for academic growth.
- On the other hand, VJTI’s long-standing reputation and excellence in engineering education make it a preferred choice for many students.
- The college has a dedicated faculty pool and most of them are also engaged in research.
- VJTI's location also benefits it to a thriving industry ecosystem, providing students with ample opportunities for research, internships and industry collaborations.
- The 2024 placements are currently ongoing at VJTI. As of now, more than 700 BTech students have enrolled for on-campus placements.
- A total of 401 BTech students have been placed till now with more expected to grab good offers as the campus drive continues.
What should I choose, NITK, Surathkal in electronics and communications, or VJTI, Mumbai in computer engineering?
National Institute of Technology, Suratkhal (NIT Suratkhal), offers a four-year bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication. With the 123 seat markup, the competition can get pretty competitive, as it yields towards high paying placement packages from a great program.
VJTI, Mumbai also offers a similar 4-year program in computer engineering, with students getting placement offers from the company's consolidated campus drive.

As a BTech graduate from VJTI, I would suggest you to go with VJTI for your MTech in CSE.

As I have studied at VJTI, I can confirm that opting for MTech CSE from here will be a wise choice. The college has a long reputation for excellence in engineering courses with a focus on practical learning. The college possesses experienced faculty members with degrees from institutes like IITs providing students with guidance and valuable mentorship.
MTech graduates generally find placement in core sectors as well as in domains like consulting, IT and research.
