Both IIT Dhanbad and MNNIT Allahabad are at the same level when it comes to MTech placements in CSE. Most companies visiting IIT Dhanbad for placements also visit and offer similar profiles to students of MNNIT Allahabad. However, the kind of roles you receive depends more on individual skills and profiles.
Nevertheless, IIT Dhanbad has a slight edge over MNNIT Allahabad because of its IIT tag which proves to be beneficial in shaping your career and opening multiple doors for you. As for the placements,
Ultimately make the decision on the basis of your personal inclinations and preferences like location, proximity to home, and brand value.
Both MTech and CS classes are conducted by the same professors in IIT Kanpur and even other IITs. The MTech program does not have a different faculty pool thus offering similar opportunities.
At IIT Kanpur, BTech and MTech students are given equal importance in terms of education, facilities, and job opportunities. The classrooms they are taught in, the hostel rooms, the library, and the sports faculty are all similar and no discrimination is done.
The placements too are at par with the BTech placements and similar packages are offered. Some of the most frequent recruiters include Microsoft, Google, SAP Labs, Intel, Qualcomm, Condensation, etc. The packages offered are in the range of INR 30- 44 LPA 35 LPA.
If you are considering Engineering colleges from Pondicherry alone then choosing PEC is the best choice. You will receive similar placement opportunities as that of the BTech students at the institute.
Companies like TCS, HCL, Aricent, Sapient, SAP, Subex, and few start-ups visit the campus for placement drives.
There is no difference in packages that are offered to BTech graduates and MTech graduates unless you negotiate on your behalf.
Another crucial thing for MTech at PEC is choosing the right project guide. Your project quality will depend a lot on the guide. It is of utmost importance for postgraduates. So, choose a difficult project and don’t entirely depend on your guide for the work. Do courses on online platforms like Coursera to learn about necessary things.
So, choose PEC, only if you are willing to go the extra mile by yourself.
IIIT Bangalore is at par with top NITs at least in terms of placement scenario of its MTech CSE course. But the question is, are good placements enough to choose a college? Here are a few factors to consider while choosing between top NITs and IIIT Bangalore.
I feel the primary point of difference between NITs and IIIT Bangalore is that NITs mostly focus on placements at the undergraduate level. IIIT Bangalore's main focus has been providing quality education at the master's and doctorate levels. Still, to answer your question, IIIT Bangalore is better than top NITs in almost all aspects.
IIIT Delhi is an excellent engineering college known for its huge contributions to research work. Its CSE branch is the most sought-after branch offering excellent job opportunities to its students. Its added location advantage adds to the overall exposure and learning experience. Many big firms like Microsoft, Amazon, and Goldman Sachs have started visiting IIIT Delhi for placements. Here are the detailed placement statistics of IIIT Delhi

Since you are considering TCS Digital as another option, I am assuming you have decent coding skills. So, you can build your profile while pursuing an MTech in CSE. Unless you have any financial constraints, it's better to complete your MTech first.
I will never recommend you to choose NIT Kurukshetra because the administration is very disappointing and the entire system is in dilapidated condition. The CSE branch specifically is losing its charm. The official records claim some very good professors but the reality is most of them aren’t interested in teaching.
The result is declared after 4 months and the students were given backs by a margin of 1/4 of a mark. The duration of exams is long, giving no time for holidays. The Institute does not encourage any kind of educational tours or summer training. Research work is not promoted in any form. The only reason NIT Kurukshetra is still here is because of the hard work of students who get good packages.
IIT Madras is the leading IIT in terms of growth in fields like ML and AI. it is taught by the very imminent expert in the field, Professor Balaram Ravindran. He has contributed largely to Machine Learning.
Additionally, MTech students of IIT Madras get the excellent opportunity to intern at MNCs like Microsoft, IBM, etc. IIT Delhi and IIT Madras are the only IITs offering internship opportunities for M.Tech. students. IIT Madras has a separate portal for PG internships like the already established portal for UG Internships. Many PPOs are provided on completion of internships.
Thus, both AI and ML are on the rise, and job opportunities on the same are increasing day by day.
The difference in the packages is due to the inflated figures released by the institutes. For instance, Microsoft offers 42 LPA packages but the actual in-hand salary is only 13 LPA.
Also, IIIT Bangalore has no core job offers whereas, in IIT Guwahati, you can also explore other domains apart from IT like finance, consulting, analysis, data science, etc. It is exactly why Inthunk placements should never be the criteria to judge the credibility of an institute or program. Rather, we should start considering in-hand averages.
Another possible reason for IIIT Bangalore's better placements is the excellent research-focused culture that provides great knowledge and scope.
IISC Bangalore is the best institution for higher studies in India, in the field of Engineering and sciences. M.Tech at IISc Bangalore is highly reputed and sought after. This course is focused on research and IISC Bangalore is the best institute in our country in terms of research.
In this program, the student has to complete 40 credits, divided into electives (13 credits), softcore (10 credits), and hard-core courses (13 credits). The student also is entitled to complete a 28 credit dissertation project. The elective can be chosen from within/outside the department with the permission of the DCC/Faculty advisor.
The eligibility to get admission in the course is bachelor’s in the stream of Engineering or sciences, and a valid GATE score. Another requirement for selection i.e. the student needs to have a strong mathematical and programming background. Some of the major highlights of this course are:
In the internship hiring placement of the batch 2020-21, the average stipend offered was 57 thousand per month, while the highest stipend offered was 1.15 lakhs per month.
Summarizing, the M.Tech program in computational science from IISC Bangalore is a great course for students with a keen interest in this field.
The placement scenario at NIT Hamirpur for MTech CSE and Mobile Computing is decent. Many companies visit NIT Hamirpur every year. Both BTech and MTech students appear for similar companies with only a slight difference in packages. You can easily make it into an MNC if you have a good profile and enough skills.
Samsung R&D visits NIT Hamirpur every year for MTech with decent packages. These companies however have a high cutoff of around 8.0 CGPA. Additionally, many colleges come forward with teaching offers for LPU and TMU.
