How is Reva University Bangalore for a CSE, in terms of academics, hostel and placements?
One of my friends studied at REVA University. According to him, CSE here is really good and has a great reputation. Here are some facts about it.
- The academic curriculum is really good and updated to match modern standards.
- The faculty is very helpful and cooperative.
- They groom you to become industry-ready.
- Hostels are clean and well furnished. They are also provided with facilities like Wifi, Gym, laundry, etc.
- Placements are also good. Several top MNCs like TCS, Wipro, Tech Mahindra participate in the placement program.

- In Chitkara University, the strength of each batch is approximately 800. You should not get scared or demotivated seeing the number of students in your Batch because competition will make the journey better for you.
- You must concentrate on your coding skills and the coding exams are held online on *hackerrank*. It will be fun once you master it. It takes a lot of brains to solve each question. Personal attention is provided to each and every student.
- Every group consists of 15 students and every such group is led by one mentor.
- TedX talks , Inlingua Classes , Toastmasters, etc., are taught in order to develop the skills of the students.
Other than that, the college has all kinds of sports from Basketball, Cricket, Badminton and Snooker. Therefore, it can be concluded that you should opt for Chitkara University as it is truly worth it.
What is better, CBIT IT or GRIET CSE?
B.Tech in Information Technology from CBIT is any day better than a Computer Science and Engineering degree from GRIET. The reason is that the CBIT IT branch has better placements than that of a GRIET CSE branch.

- We know that placements are one of the biggest factors in choosing a college and in that regard CBIT is a much better choice even though GRIET is not bad.
- Many top companies such as Microsoft visit both campuses and offer comparable high annual compensation.
- However, the companies usually recruit more students in the higher compensation packages at CBIT. So, your chances of securing the dream job are relatively easier at CBIT than at GRIET.
The average placements hover in the INR 6 LPA to INR 12 LPA range at CBIT for IT and CSE branches with the lowest package of close to INR 3.5 LPA. There are also a lot more MNCs coming to the CBIT campus than that of the GRIET campus.
Course Fee:
The only area where GRIET zooms ahead of CBIT is in the case of the program fee. For CBIT it is now INR 2.2 lakhs for the management quota students while it is only between INR 1 lakhs to 1.5 lakhs for GRIET.
You should choose CBIT as it offers better placements.
Which is better for CSE LPU or Chandigarh University?
The first thing that comes to my mind is the accessibility. Chandigarh University is around 17 kms away from Chandigarh and there are less transportation facilities to commute from Chandigarh to the university. LPU, on the other hand is 19 kms away from Jalandhar, but the campus is established on the main route.
As far as the placement department is concerned, more than 500+ recruiters visit the campus for placements every year. BTech CSE placements at LPU recorded INR 42 lakhs as the highest salary package. Additionally, LPU had 110+ recruiters from top colleges like IITs, IIMs, and NITs. The highest monthly stipend for any kind of internship at LPU is around 80k.
So in my opinion, LPU is better for CSE than Chandigarh University.
How is the new branch computer engineering with honours in machine language and data analytics at Thapar University?
My brother is currently pursuing CML at Thapar University and he highly recommends the course as you will get to learn a lot compared to the core CS. Here are some of the reasons why he chose this course.
- In the current industry, Data Analysis and Machine Learning have high demand. Almost every big company needs Data Scientists.
- In CML, you will get an extra degree of honors in Machine Learning and Data Analysis apart from the normal BE in CS.
- The only startup of the first year is run by students of CML.
- CML is the only branch that got a 200% increase in seats from the original plan to the second year.
If you talk to the graduates from IITs who are currently working as Data scientists in the industry they will definitely recommend this course. As it offers immense opportunities.

B.Tech CSE from NIT Silchar is a good choice. Here are some parameters to assess it-
- Coursework - The CSE coursework at NIT Silchar is relevant and up-to-date. But the teachers won’t guide you much. You will have to rely on online courses and videos. During your first year, you’ll have just one CS subject which will cover C language and the basic fundamentals of C++. During the 4th year, you will have specialization courses like Data Mining, Neural Networks, Artificial Intelligence, Digital Image Processing, Machine Learning, Speech Processing, Wireless Networks, Cryptography and Cloud Computing.
- Facilities- NIT Silchar campus has high speed internet facilities. In the CSE department, you will have 24-hour lab access with assigned PCs to work on. There is a SuperComputing Center as well. It can be used during your projects when you will need high processing speeds. The NITS coding club is very active. The CSE department has its own society which is called the Computer Science Society. It organizes workshops, seminars, and offers regular updates on the latest developments in the field of Computer Science.
- Placements- The placement scenario at NITS is quite good for CSE students. Top companies visit the campus with tech and other job offers. The major recruiters for CSE department include- Microsoft, Samsung, Amazon, DE Shaw & Co, Infosys, Deloitte, and ITC Limited among others.

What should I choose between NIT Kurukshetra IT or NIT Delhi CSE?
NIT Kurukshetra IT is a much better choice than NIT Delhi CSE. IT is in fact a much better branch these days considering the syllabus of both branches.
- NIT Kurukshetra B.Tech ranking by NIRF is 58 out of 200 colleges in India in 2023.
- NIT Kurukshetra is as old as NIT Delhi so its infrastructure, alumni network, and brand name are at par with NIT Delhi.
- NIT Kurukshetra has air-conditioned classrooms, and well-maintained hostels and is located remotely in a serene area whereas NIT Delhi, is nowhere located near the city of Delhi.

\Which is better, NIT Durgapur for CSE or IIEST Shibpur for CSE?
IIEST Shibpur is better for CSE. It offers better academics, and facilities. IIEST receives more funding than NIT Durgapur. It has a better peer group as well, which is clearly reflected on the cutoff.
The placement rate for CSE is around 80%. Students receive an average CTC of around INR 10 LPA. The highest CTC offered goes up to INR 39 LPA. Microsoft Media, Deutsch Bank, Mentor Graphics, Well Fargo’s, etc. are among the major recruiters that take place in the placement drive.
