What should I choose considering the branch change opportunities, electrical at IIT Mandi or electrical at IIT Ropar?
There is a branch change provision at IIT Mandi which is very lenient too. So if you are confused with your branch and you wish to change your branch in the future, then you should choose IIT Mandi.
One of my friends was in a similar situation a few years back and he opted for IIT Mandi for its flexible branch change policies. He was able to change his branch to CSE. To change your branch to CSE, you will need a CGPA of around 8.6.

Among these, IIT Patna has the best CSE department. It has an active coding culture. NJACK is the computer science club of IIT Patna. Which is better for a keralite, EE at IIT Mandi or engineering design at IIT Madras?
For obvious reasons, ED in IIT Madras is better than EE from IIT Mandi.
Since, you are a Keralite, you need to travel across the entire length of India whenever you need to travel back and forth from your home. Moreover, the climate will also be a minus factor. In case of Chennai, you can travel overnight and reach your home. The people there will be more familiar to you as compared to those in Mandi.
Engineering Design -
- It is an amalgamation of all the engineering disciplines in a crude sense which can be easily seen by their curriculum.
- The curriculum includes doing coding, mechanical labs and civil engineering courses, it even includes Electrical Engineering.
- BTech in Electrical Design is a 5 year Program as it includes a compulsory six month internship (an entire semester) in the final year and a project in the final year of the course. Whereas, the courses at other branches last for only 8 weeks.

Mandi is situated in Himachal Pradesh, it has a very pleasing scenery. But keeping in mind the distance, weather conditions and the ease of living for a Keralite, Chennai is a much better option.
Which is better: IIT Mandi CSE, Bits Pilani, or Pilani Campus CS?
This might be a hard choice. You have to think deeply and make a tough decision while choosing between any of these colleges.

- It is an IIT Brand for which you have worked hard and studied for around 2 years to be known as an IITian.
- All the faculty at IIT Mandi are themselves from IIT with a Ph.D. degree.
- The infrastructure of IIT Mandi is excellent.
- Also, the hostel life is quite good with a standard living lifestyle.
BITS Pilani
- It is one of the excellent colleges in India with developed culture and with a good environmental reputation
- The alumni are quite good
- Many reputed companies visit the campus for placement drives.
- The college provides a decent and a good salary average of 12 LPA, especially for the department of CSE.

Even if you intend to further research and hold the IIT tag, Mandi is a good alternative. Anyway, BITS is a decent choice, but for the rest of your life, you will miss the IIT tag. In the end, it will be your decision which college you want to opt for or go with.
How is the coding culture at IIT Mandi, IIT Patna, or IIT (ISM) Dhanbad?
One of my friends studies at IIT Dhanbad, and according to him the coding culture of IIT Dhanbad is developed and good. The following points are based on his experience at IIT Dhanbad:
- CSE students conduct several coding workshops and students join coding clubs, and associations year-round.
- The institute has the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM) that organizes seminars, lectures, competitions, and presentations if you are interested in coding.
- It also has Cyverlabs Club with different branches such as Web Development, Machine Learning, Arduino Development, etc. The club is headed by experienced seniors of IIT Dhanbad.
- They also help and train students in gaining computing skills.
Therefore, if you are thinking to join IIT Dhanbad then you can go for it. It has a great coding culture. Also, the institutes organize various coding events and competitions for students all around the year which helps them acquiring a good knowledge of it.
Should I prefer IIT Mandi for CSE over MNNIT for CSE?
No, you should prefer MNNIT for CSE. It is better compared to IIT Mandi. You can benefit a lot from the competitive coding culture on the MNNIT campus. The seniors are very helpful. You will get to learn many useful coding hacks from them. It offers good placement opportunities as well. According to 2021 placement highlights, MNNIT CSE average CTC is INR 19.08 LPA.
Which will be better, CSE at IIT Mandi, DTU, NSIT, BITS GOA or any NIT (Warangal)?
For CSE, BITS Goa is the best option among the colleges mentioned here. The student crowd for the branch is almost as good as BITS Pilani. The cutoff difference between the campuses isn’t much.
BITS Goa CSE placements are pretty good. According to the placement highlights, the average package for the branch is INR 12 LPA.
The coding culture at BITS Goa is better than all the institutes mentioned here.
Which one is better, IIT BHU mechanical vs IIT Mandi, Ropar electrical vs IIT Roorkee civil, considering college life and placements?

Savitribai Phule Pune University is the best option among this for an MSc in Mathematics. Pune University is old and well-reputed. Science faculty of this university is great. You will have more options for your MSc project. SPPU is well known for its research interface.
IIT Mandi and NIT Jaipur offer the advantages of brand value. But these institutes are mostly known for their Applied Science courses.
