What is the current scenario of placements for VLSI in IIT Roorkee and IIT Hyderabad?
I am a student of M.Tech VLSI Design at IIT Roorkee. Here are the placement details for each of these colleges in this domain-

Both the colleges offer good placements in VLSI. The placement figures of IIT Roorkee and IIT Hyderabad are very close to each other for this particular domain.
Which is better, electronics at VESIT or electronics at the Vidyalankar Institute of Technology?
If in case, you want to focus on your GPAs, then Vidyalankar Institute of Technology can be a good choice because you will have all the required study materials. Some of them include GQs, EQs, and others. Mainly, the professors go around to encourage you in scoring particularly well in your semesters.
There is another factor you need to understand. If you are planning to go for acquiring a good knowledge base, then you will also have access to certain topics such as Stack Overflow, Instructables, Hackster, arXiv.org, Ieee Xplore, and several others.
You might not receive the knowledge base in either of the institutes, but you can still have a slight edge at Vidyalankar Institute of Technology if you go for a good GPA.
Besides, the faculty is supportive and more importantly, encouraging. The labs are well maintained and particularly well equipped as well.

Electronics and Instrumentation at BITS Pilani and Electronics and Communication at MNNIT Allahabad both are good choices. Also, BITS Pilani and MNNIT are reputed institutes. So, you should choose either of these two options based on your interest.
I have few friends at BITS, s I can give you some idea about their ENI branch.
- ENI course offered by BITS Pilani is great in terms of academics and pay package. ENI is derived from EEE courses with only 3 - 4 courses being different from EEE.
- BITS also offers extensive lab facilities for their EEE branch due to CEERI.
- According to the recent placement highlights, the average and highest CTC offered at BITS is 15.96 LPA and 9.7 LPA. At MNNIT the average and highest CTC are 10 LPA and 49 LPA respectively.
For further information or so you can definitely visit the official sites of both the colleges. You can also visit their Facebook pages, where you will be able to find seniors from these branches who can give you more information regarding the branches.
What is the best to take, any NIT or IET Lucknow with an electronic and instrumentation branch?
Choosing between NIT and IET Lucknow will be a tough task. As both have their own qualities and reputation.
- If you are hardworking and sincere enough with good academics then learning new skills will be easier for you.
- You will gain the knowledge of working in industry through proper training offered by the colleges, be it NIT or IET.
- If you want to choose between the colleges, consider some points.
- These include Course fees, Facilities, Infrastructure, faculty, alumni network, placements, academics, etc.
- But yes, if you are getting any decent NIT with a good branch then you should go for it.
- If a particular branch is not your utmost priority, then you can go for the top NITs.
- In case you are not getting any good NIT then go for IET Lucknow to pursue Electronics and Instrumentation.

Which is better, VIT Pune electronics or VIIT CS?
According to The Week, both VIT Pune and VIIT are ranked 15th and 100th for engineering. But both have their pros and cons.
Admission:
VIT Pune-
- After qualifying the minimum eligibility criteria, on the basis of national and state-level entrance exam (JEE mains and MHT CET), students can take admission for the electrical engineering.
- In 2019 the cutoff for Electronics Engineering was 3602 (JEE Main) and 129 (MHT CET).
- The first-year course fee for BTech Electronics Engineering at VIT Pune is 1.79 lakhs.
VIIT- VIIT offers a BE program for CS.
- It accepts JEE Mains and MHT CET scores for admission. In 2019 the required cutoff for CS was 2648 (JEE Main) and 135 (MHT CET).
- The first-year course fee is 1.64 lakhs.
Infrastructure:
VIT-
There are three fully functional laboratories devoted to the electronic courses. These laboratories are highly advanced with upgrade technologies. A central as well as a departmental library are also present, filled with thousands of books and journals.
VIIT-
VIIT also offers good infrastructure. The campus is fully air-conditioned. The laboratories for CS are well-equipped to carry out academic and research works.
Teaching faculty:
VIT-
They have 70+ professors just in B.Tech whereas, for the electronics department, more than 13 professors are available all the time.
VIIT-
Along with the department professors, there are many guest faculties who visit the campus regularly. The faculties are experienced and well-qualified.
Placement:
VIT:
- The average CTC of the electronics department is 4.5 lacs.
- More than 100 companies visit college every year including Titan Engineering Company Pvt Ltd, Vedula Engineering Pvt Ltd, Havells India Ltd, etc.
- The highest, as well as the Lowest package of Electronics, are 48 lacs and 4.71 lacs respectively.
VIIT:
- According to the previous year's data, 84% of the CS students got good jobs in multinational companies.
- Companies like IBM, Wipro, Oracle, TCS are some famous brands coming over here.
- 46 lacs per year was the maximum package given in the CSE department.
As the courses are different it is difficult to decide which will be the better option. You should choose the course you are more interested in.
What is better, a B.E. in Electronics in PEC University of Technology, or a B.E. in Civil Engineering at NIT Surathkal?
Here are some details about B.Tech Civil Engineering at NIT Surathkal and B.Tech Electronics at PEC for you to make the final decision:
B.Tech. Civil Engineering at NIT Surathkal
- Faculty: The faculty at NIT Surathkal is above average. There are professors who are very supportive and their teaching methods are excellent, but there are also professors whose teaching methods and approach are not liked by students. Faculty feedback is not taken with much seriousness.
- Lab facilities & Infrastructure: The Labs are good with all the proper facilities. The infrastructure is average. The buildings are very old and there are no ACs. The elevators do not work most of the time.
- Research Facilities: In terms of research facilities, NIT Surathkal is excellent. It has impressive laboratories. Most of the professors support and guide students in all the different aspects related to research. Various scholarship programs are available for research work and students can also work at foreign universities.
- Placements: The placement scenario is above average with 70% + eligible students getting placed in both core and non-core companies.
B.Tech Electronics at PEC
- B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering is offered for a total course fee of 7.07 Lakhs and the course duration is 4 years. The qualifying exam is JEE Main. PEC is ranked 138th in the NIRF India Rankings 2023: Engineering.
- Companies like Arcesium and Amazon offer good packages to a select few. The selection, however, is based on coding skills and has nothing to do with ECE subjects. Core companies like Sandisk, Texas Instruments, and Mediatek hire only around 4-5 students per company from the CS, ECE, and EE courses combined.
- The remaining upper half of the batch gets placed in various profiles like IT, Consulting, Banking, and others. The remaining students are recruited by mass recruiters like TCS and Infosys.

Both NIT Surathkal and PEC are renowned institutions. You must first choose whether you want to seek admission into Civil Engineering or Electronics and then decide which University / College you should pick.
What should I take: IIT BHU Electronics or IIT Kanpur Chemical Engineering?
Both IIT BHU and IIT Kanpur are one of the best and oldest institutes in India. But according to me IIT Kanpur is better than IIT BHU here are some reasons:
- IIT Kanpur generally ranks higher than IIT BHU in the NIRF rankings. As of the most recent rankings IIT Kanpur is usually within the top 5 engineering institutes in India and IIT BHU typically ranks between 10 to 15.
- Both IIT Kanpur and IIT BHU have excellent placement records. But as one of my friends is studying at IIT BHU information provided by him Electronics and Communication Engineering at IIT BHU has strong placement records with average CTCs typically ranging from 12 to 14 LPA whereas Chemical Engineering at IIT Kanpur also strong placement statistics with average CTCs typically ranging from 12 to 15 LPA.
- The faculties of IIT BHU are dedicated and the research institutes are also good making it a conducive place for study, contrary to this, IIT Kanpur is known for its education, best curriculum, excellent faculties, and research facilities.
Based on the above information, IIT Kanpur is a better choice than IIT BHU.
What the average package of IIT BHU electronic?
According to 2019 placement highlights, a total of 88 students from Electronics Engineering got placement offers. The average package of the IIT BHU for the electronics department ranged between 10-58 LPA. While the highest package offered in IIT BHU was 1.04 LPA. Students of Electronics Engineering got placements from both core and non-core sectors. Some of the past recruiters are Google, Oracle, Bajaj, Microsoft, Amazon, Deloitte, UBER, etc.
If you are interested in robotics or core electronics, then you would definitely love to pursue this course. The course structure incorporates recent industry trends. The faculty members experienced and also you will get the guidance of the seniors. Moreover, you will also get the idea of self-study.
Which is better: IIT Roorkee mechanical or IIT BHU electronics?
IIT Roorkee Mechanical will be better. It has an excellent placement record. IIT Roorkee Mechanical average package is INR 15 LPA. Reputed companies like Google, Microsoft, and Maruti Suzuki recruit from the branch. You can also get good placement opportunities in the IT sector.
IIT Roorkee has various clubs such as Web development Club, Programming Club, Robotics, etc. If you are interested, you can join any of these clubs and build additional skills.
