Both the options are good. There is no such difference in the quality of education, either in these two branches, or any other branch in CUSAT.
They make you work hard, focus on every detail, and stress a lot on the practical classes and labs.
As for the faculty, 85% are permanent. As for the quality of faculty, everyone will have a different view. According to my friends at CUSAT, the only difference you will find between the branches is that the EC people toil 3 times harder than the other branches.
According to the overall placement statistics the average and highest CTC offered to the students is 4 LPA and 15 LPA.
You should choose the branch that is better for you. Think about the branch where your interest lies, will you be able to manage the workload efficiently, does the subject interest you, or which branch has the better placements matter. However, I would like to advise you not to be bothered by placements any more.
Firstly you should decide which stream you want to go with and then look at the colleges for the same.
There are some parameters on which you should especially focus on which include an established brand with great recognition, placement history, and excellent startup culture. According to all these parameters, NIT Trichy is the best place for you. In the recent placement drive, the average CTC offered was 6 LPA.
On the other hand, IIITDM Kancheepuram offers a unique curriculum. It addresses the design and manufacturing issues faced by the industry. At the end of your course, you will be able to converse with the technical experts in your relevant field of study. Although IIITDM Kancheepuram is a new institute and doesn’t have a great placement record yet, it is growing in terms of its reach and brand value.
BVP Pune would be a better choice as Pune is a technical city and plays an important factor in the placements. The city has all the MNCs and is the top place for a student for great placements.
Also, Bharti Vidyapeeth Pune is among the best private Universities in the city because of the well-educated and experienced faculty and also the placement packages it furnish. Therefore, you should go for BVP Pune as it will be a better choice.

IIT Roorkee is a premier engineering college and gives a constant edge over other IITs owing to a number of unique features. Some of them are
Trust me when I say the list is never-ending!
There is a stark difference between both universities in terms of culture as well as fees. JNU or Jawaharlal Nehru University is mostly about expression, literature, culture, research, and building intellectual facilities whereas DU is all about glamor, fashion, fests, high cutoffs, and placements.
In financial terms, JNU is much more affordable than DU. Be it course fees or hostel fees, JNU cuts down on expenses a lot.
JNU is learning for life, whereas DU focuses on learning the bare essentials and getting placed in a reputed firm.
One more significant difference to consider is that JNU is more about post-graduation whereas DU focuses more on graduation. The difference in intellectual level stems from the same reason.
If you are still confused between the two, spend equal time on both campuses and you will get the answer soon.
Both SIMS and SIOM are good institutes, providing excellent courses in different domains. The choice between the two institutes is entirely based on your choice of interest.
The points below give a brief overview of the two institutes:
Therefore, for operations management, SIOM is a much better option. And for all other branches in management, SIMS is a better choice for students interested in an MBA degree.
KIIT is the best technical college in Orissa, in terms of placements too. Its students get placement offers before the 8th semester itself. But on average, the offers aren’t very attractive. Plus, the fee of KIIT is much higher compared to ITER and BPUT.
My cousin was a bright student at KIIT. He received a good on campus placement. On the other hand, I was a BPUT graduate. Though I was also good at studies, I had to look for off campus placements due to lack of on campus offers.
But my knowledge and hard work eventually paid, and I got a good job with a good package. At present, my cousin and I get an equal salary, and we are both working in different companies in the US.
KIIT is the best for on campus placements. ITER is not as good, but much better than BPUT. But my point is, even if you end up in ITER/BPUT because of financial constraints or some other reason, do not give up hopes. At the end of the day, your hardwork and determination is all that matters.
NIT Silchar is a far better option than both NIT Agartala and NIT Mizoram. There are a number of strong reasons that support my claim I have listed the most important ones
So, it’s advisable to give preference to NIT Silchar over NIT Agartala and NIT Mizoram due to the above reasons.
