According to my friends at IIIT Guwahati, CSE at IIIT Guwahati is definitely a better choice. Let me provide some points which will give you a better insight into the colleges.

Therefore, IIIT Guwahati has a lot of advantages over NIT Patna/ Puducherry, which makes it a better choice for students in engineering.
IIIT Lucknow is a better option for a boy living in Uttar Pradesh because it is closer to home and provides a more homelike environment.
At IIIT Lucknow, you will have access to all of the resources necessary for students to get the best placements and develop holistically. Among the newer IIITs, there is one of the best coding environments and placement statistics. The average placement in the first batch was 11.37 LPA. The reason for all of this is that they were mentored by IIIT Allahabad in their early stages, and today they are more than capable of providing world-class facilities on their own.
The college has an exemplary placement rate. The college placement council is extremely helpful and walks us through the process of placement. The committee has the ability to bring in a large number of high-quality companies for placement.
IIIT Guwahati was among the 20 IIITs that was set up by the Central Government under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Act, 2017. It started its operation in August 2013 with B.tech programs in CSE and ECE.
The foundation stone for its permanent campus was laid on 19 January 2016 by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in the presence of some dignified personalities of our country- former Governor of Assam Shri Janaki Ballabh Patnaik, former Chief Minister of Assam Late Tarun Gogoi, and former Minister of Human Resources and Development Smt. Smriti Zubin Irani.
In July 2018, the institute moved to its permanent campus. The new semester after the vacation started in the new campus.
Both the IIITs are among the newly established IIITs which still have a long way to achieve the same level of big IIITs like Hyderabad. I have friends from both of these institutes who are currently pursuing their B.Tech.
According to them, both the colleges offer good quality education and compares neck to neck. Here’s how:
Overall, both of the IIITs are new and struggling with a lot of factors like placements, lacking coding culture and facilities. Nevertheless, IIIT Guwahati has a slight edge over Kota because of its permanent campus if the location is not a problem for you. However, better not to opt for either of these colleges unless you have a JEE rank between 15–25k, and don’t have greater options nearby.
At IIIT Guwahati the curriculum followed is the same as IIIT H which is one of the best institutes for CS in the country. So, even if you are completely new to coding, after the completion of one year, you will be able to understand and do advanced coding. Provided you are passionate about coding and put in the required effort.
I have a few friends at the institute and according to them, there are many students on the campus who practice coding. The institute also has a coding club and a robotics club.
Also, the institute is still in the developing phase so you will get ample opportunities to collaborate on various projects with the professors, brush up on your coding as well as management and leadership skills. During YUVAAN IIIT G Cultural Fest, coding gets very intense among students.
IIIT Guwahati is a relatively new institute so its placement might not be at par with NITSilchar. Here is a brief comparison of the placement statistics of both institutes

Moreover, the academic environment is much better at NIT Silchar than at IIIT Guwahati. As for the location, NIT Silchar is gradually overcoming all connectivity issues and the situation is only going to get better.
Ultimately, the final choice depends on your preferences. If you are inclined towards Mechanical, choose NIT Silchar but if you want to pursue a career in CS, definitely go for IIIT Guwahati.
RV College of Engineering, Bangalore is a better option compared to IIIT Guwahati. Bangalore is home to major MNCs and startups. As a student of RV College, you can leverage the location advantage to get placements, internships, and projects.
RV College of Engineering placements is better. The median CTC for the college is INR 8.93 LPA. For 2021, the highest CTC offered was INR 53.18 LPA.
The first thing that you should know is that the introduction program at IIIT Guwahati lasts for a duration of a good three weeks. During this whole time, you would come across experiences that I am about to mention below.
All in all, to sum up, your introduction session at IIIT Guwahati, you must understand that it is a vital session that eventually helps you understand the professors and your own batchmates better. It's a 21-day session and you are not required to complete any projects or even study during this time. This is entirely set up for your enjoyment. In this process, you would make new friends. By the end of the introduction session, you would be used to the food at the mess and the weather over there.
If you are considering IIIT Kolkata, IIIT Sri City and IIIT Trichy are all colleges that have done very well and are also developing quite well. Compared to these, IIIT Guwahati and Lucknow are not quite up to the mark yet.
As for IIIT Sri City, I have a friend studying there and according to him, this college is one of the first among the others to have its own campus.

You will get to explore various innovative ideas and share these with the world. So, finally, definitely go to IIIT Sri City as your career will do really well here.
I have a few friends at both institutes so I can give you some idea about them. Both IIIT Guwahati and Thapar University are very good engineering institutes, but the former will be a better choice.
Thapar University is a reputed private institute with good infrastructure, an updated curriculum, and a well-developed alumni base. But when compared to IIIT Guwahati it falls behind.
If we check the recent placement statistics for these two institutes, there a big difference can be seen. The average CTC offered at Thapar for recent years has been around 7 LPA, whereas for IIIT Guwahati the average CTC is around 10.2 LPA.
The final decision is yours. Consider all these facts and choose wisely.
