BBS Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies, University of Delhi (2003)

Yes, it is definitely worth it to drop out of Presidency College Bangalore for SSCBS DU to pursue BBA.

Here are some reasons why:

  • SSCBS is a very tough institute to get admission in. Students who usually do not get a chance to study here opt for other colleges.
  • Scoring good marks in a DU-JAT examination is really hard.
  • Dropping one year totally depended on the individual. If you want to take government exams, then for just a basic degree it is not worth dropping a year.
  • But if you wish to have overall development in your personality, skills and knowledge, then SSCBS is the best option.
  • The brand of DU, and learning in a prestigious college has its own perks.
  • Your brilliant peers will have a positive impact on your personality.

For a BBA course, SSCBS will be a good choice as placement here is really good which other colleges might lack.

NMIMS Mumbai is a very popular and reputed college and it will be a very good option to pursue BBA due to its excellent curriculum and amazing facilities. One of my friends studied there and she highly recommends it.

  • The course curriculum at NMIMS Mumbai is well updated and includes some important subjects which are a part of CA foundation.
  • The students are being assigned various projects, assignments, and case studies which helps them gain practical knowledge and also improve their grades.
  • The faculty at NMIMS Mumbai is very talented and experienced and most of them have also completed their Ph.D. in their respective fields.
  • The placement scenario is also very good with top companies visiting the campus for interviews and recruiting many students with decent packages.
  • The average package offered here is 4 LPA and the maximum is 12 LPA.
  • The batch size is 240+ which is a drawback for the college and the fees here are around 7 lakhs for 3 years which is also on the higher side.
Categories BBA at NMIMS Mumbai
Course Fee 9.06 lakh
Highest CTC 8 LPA
Average CTC 4.5 LPA
Recruiting Companies Citibank, HSBC, IBM, Capgemini, etc.

Hence, NMIMS Mumbai is a very good college to pursue BBA courses in terms of academics and placements, and choosing this college over Symbiosis Noida will be a very good option.

Which college should I choose Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies (2nd shift) or JIMS, Rohini (1st shift) for BBA?

Namrata Das Posted On : September 27th, 2023

In terms of placement and ranking JIMS, Rohini (1st shift) would be more worthy that that of Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies (2nd shift). Though both of the universities are affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.

According to NIRF report 2023 JIMS (Jagan Institute of Management Studies) ranked 88 among the top management schools in India. It has been accredited by NAAC with a “A” grade. Whereas Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies ranked 151 among the universities in India in overall category.

100% of participants were placed during JIMS Rohini Placements 2023. The maximum package offered by JIMS Rohini was INR 22 LPA, while the average package was INR 8 LPA. The placement drive included the participation of 190 recruiters. Among the top employers were companies like Amazon, Deloitte, Gartner, Godrej, ITC, and TCS. Whereas Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies offered an highest package of 6.54 LPA which is comparatively much lesser than that of JIMS, Rohini.

Since both schools are associated with the same institution, it is difficult to discern between the faculties and course offerings. That is why it is safe to conclude that JIMS, Rohini would be a more favourable option in terms of placement and ranking.
