I don’t think you should even consider joining IIT Hyderabad EE when you have the option of IIIT Hyderabad CSE given the fact that it’s the 2nd best in India after IIT Bombay CSE. The course is very challenging and IIIT Hyderabad does not have a lively atmosphere like IITs. Rather, the entire focus is on CS courses and research work. Although the campus is very small and lacks any extracurricular facilities, it’s heaven for coders. The academic workload is terrible with intense competition among peers. 

• So, if you are certain of your genuine interest in coding and are ready to get committed to it for the rest of your life, nothing will serve you better than IIIT Hyderabad.
• But if you prefer a more flexible learning environment with more courses to choose from, IIT Hyderabad EE is the right option for you. Here, you can explore more electives apart from EE and in fact, EE itself has some computer courses like data science, machine learning, etc. 

Overall, both are excellent choices, and it’s only a matter of preference. Go for IIIT if you are certain of CS and go for IIT if you aren’t sure of your inclinations. Either way, you will not be disappointed.

A subject like CS is good enough for your career to shine, be it from any college. It completely depends on the student and what suits his/her requirements.

• The faculty of both the colleges are equally good. They are highly experienced and very cooperative.
• If you prefer a more lively college life, consisting of fun and fests then opt for Thadomal Shahani Engineering College (TSEC)
• If the campus environment, infrastructure, and food joints matter more to you then go for Vivekanand Education Society’s Institute of Technology (VESIT) Chembur.
• VESIT offers more seats for CS than TSEC College.
• The placements for CS in both colleges are similar. 
• This mainly depends on the student’s overall academic performance, based on this appropriate job offers and salary packages are given.

It is suggested that you opt for Thadomal Shahani for CS, and if you do not get a chance there then go for CS at Vivekananda.

IIIT Bangalore CSE is an outstanding choice in every aspect. It is way better than SVNIT CSE. But there is a drawback to IIITB. It only offers a 5 year integrated program (B.Tech + M.Tech). I have a few friends at IIIT Bangalore, and according to them, a B.Tech is always better than an iM.Tech. 

Regardless, IIITB CSE is way ahead. You should definitely consider it, especially if the high fee is not a concern for you.

Considering the options you have and your JEE Rank, IIT Ropar is the most suitable college for you. 

Faculty: IIT Ropar is known for its highly qualified faculty pool. The regular recruitment process is conducted in India as well as abroad to provide the best opportunities to their students.

Faculty-Student Ratio: IIT Ropar has one of the best faculty students around 1:8. Every student gets personal attention and all their doubts are given due importance. 

Placements: In IIT Ropar placements 2022, the highest salary recorded was INR 50 LPA. B.Tech CSE students received an average salary of INR 28.54 LPA and a median salary of INR 24 LPA. Ropar placements are best among the new IITs and especially for the CS branch. The majority of the B.Tech students were placed in the Computer Science branch. The campus was visited by top recruiters like Goldman Sachs, Amazon, Infosys, etc 

Seniors: The seniors are very cooperative and helpful. You can acquire great knowledge in diverse fields by staying close to your seniors.

Research Opportunities: IIT Ropar has one of the best research cultures. It has signed MoU with foreign colleges thus providing excellent exposure and opportunity to work abroad.

College Life: Here are a few highlights from the dynamic college life of IIT Ropar. 

• IIT Ropar bagged the 2016 Microsoft Imagine Cup.
• The IIT Ropar team secured 19th rank in the India Finals of ACM ICPC. 
• 2 students were selected for GSOC this year.

Considering all the above points, it can be concluded that IIT Ropar is definitely a good choice. 

Institute-wise, BITS Pilani is much better than IIT Mandi. But branch-wise, both CSE and EEE are equally good with CSE at a slighter advantage. 

From this, we can infer that BITS Pilani EEE is a better choice. The placement scenario of both the branches is the same and that’s when the institute's credibility comes into play. 

Many top firms recruit only from old IITs and BITS Pilani and new IITs are not even considered by these top companies. There is a stark contrast between placement scenarios of old and new IITs in terms of the package and roles offered.

I feel students are initially unaware of their actual interests and so it’s better to target a better college than a better branch. BITS Pilani EE fulfills all the criteria and offers a plethora of placement options that might not be available in new IITs like IIT Mandi.

As far as the IIT tag is concerned, the increasing number of new IITs has diluted its brand value. The IIT tag brand value rests with the old IITs only and the new IITs are not that respected. Companies prefer students from institutes like BITS Pilani or IIIT Hyderabad rather than new IITs.

Among these three colleges it will be better if you go for CSE at MSIT. As CSE is the most sorted department which will provide you with immense opportunities in the corporate field.

It is recommended that you do not opt for Thapar or especially electronics and instrumentation, as your scope will become limited. CSE or IT will open several gates for your future ahead.

Since you do not have any inclination towards any branch, a core branch like ICE which will require you to be one of the top students in the batch to secure a good job in the core company. Or you will get offered a job from mass recruitment companies.

So it is better to pay less for your undergraduate degree, stay in Delhi and pursue the course in demand.
