However, work experience matters only if you are applying for a master’s or research programs, what they really consider is your previous academic grades and overall performance. Here are some factors for admission:

• IELTS 8 is good to get your application accepted in most programs as a minimum is 6.5.
• Your previous academic record is very important, a minimum GPA of 2.80 is a must.
• Your 2 years of experience will only matter if you are considering a Ph.D. or Master by research program.
• SAT score should have at least 980 or an ACT minimum composite score of 18 .

Concordia focuses on your undergraduate records hoping your academic scores are better than average, considering your IELTS score of 8 and two years of work experience in the same field you will have no issue in getting an offer letter from Concordia University. 

The medical tests is an obvious requirement for admission at IIT Bhubaneswar as given in annexure IV. If by chance, you couldn’t get that done then you can get it from the institutes linked with the hospitals taking these tests.

IIT Bhubaneswar asks about your medical report before you are going for the counselling in a prescribed manner. It is not a hectic process and should not be much of a hassle. It's better that you complete the tests in your home and thus it makes the registration process easier.

You have to take the printout of the form provided by the IIT and visit the nearest government hospital. You will be provided all the reports within 3 or 4 days after the medical reports come. Even some of the government hospitals give the reports the next day, so there is no need to get worried.

A senior of mine has told me that a score of 225 would be more than enough for getting admission in electrical in IIEST Shibpur. The admission criteria are the same for applicants belonging to the home state (West Bengal) or from any other state. With that score, you can also get CST and ECE with ease.

You can also compare trying to solve the paper for the previous years for getting acquainted with the pattern. Difficulty of the exams also somewhat determines admission, especially when cutoffs change every year. According to the cutoff trends of recent years, a score of 225 should be enough to secure admission.

Question papers from previous years suggest the M.Tech admission test at IIT Bhubaneswar in civil engineering follows the same syllabus as GATE. In the written examination, there are mostly conceptual questions from core subjects as well as questions from mathematics and aptitude.

So, it would be wise to prepare ahead of time by solving all the previous year’s question papers and also study the basics of all the subjects side by side. But as it is IIT, there is no boundary of the questions. So, cover your basics thoroughly.

Results of the admission test are declared within 1 hour of the exam. If you are selected, you need to get through document verification and an interview to get enrolled. Mostly, interviews are purely technical and questions are asked to test the basics concepts. The interview takes around 15 mins maximum and at least 3 Interviewers will be present in the interview board.
