A lot of software companies do know about MNIT however, don’t expect a jaw-dropping response. People are definitely aware of it though.

However, in my sister’s opinion, once you start progressing in the software industry, no one will actually ask you about which college you are from. You just need to gain experience in the industry for about 3 years and after that, you will no longer be treated like a college graduate. Finally, it is your technical knowledge and projects will be looked at.

If you are concerned about reputation abroad, most institutes abroad are only aware of IITs and many students are asked more about their M.S. colleges than their undergraduate history. You really don’t have to worry about this.

MNNIT Allahabad is a well-reputed university with good rankings by various ranking surveys conducted in India over the years. It has been ranked at 71 by Business Today 2019 and also at 93 in India 2020 by NIRF. The MBA program offered by the institute is based on a dynamic curriculum and evolves various aspects such as project work and group learnings to enhance the growth of students.

MBA Program - Admission Criteria:

• To apply for an MBA course from MNNIT Allahabad, candidates need a minimum of 60% score in their Bachelor’s Degree.

• Further, the students need to undertake the CAT entrance exam, post which final selections are made on the basis of their scores, group discussion, as well as personal interview rounds conducted by the university itself.

MBA Program - Campus Placement:

MNNIT Allahabad has certain pro factors like a good placement cell, a good salary package after course completion, on-campus housing facilities, etc. But eventually while deciding on whether to opt for its MBA program or not, a student needs to consider the feasibility factors applicable to them individually.

You should definitely go ahead with international financial management. You will find this subject to be extremely helpful not only in your future career but also in your personal prospects. You will gain a lot of economic and financial information from this course, even more so if it is taught by Prof. Tanuj Nandan.

Here are some pros and cons regarding the same:

Pros:

• Concepts: You will always be interested to attend this class and give it your 100% attention. It is very interactive and more of a discussion between students and the teacher. Because of this, you will not need to prepare that much for the exam. All questions asked on it will be conceptual. They mainly check whether you have learned anything in class. You might not end up with an A+, but you will definitely learn something.
• Personal finance: With the professor’s teaching methods, you will become interested in finance and this will help you in your placements and navigating different components of your CTC, and filing tax details.

You will also be exposed to the world of stocks and markets and learn to invest better in debt instruments and mutual funds. This class will also enable you to understand and download all financial data completely. You can also think of doing a parallel MOOC in finance if you are interested enough.

Cons:

• The teacher has changed as far as I know so the teaching methods might differ a little.

In case you are looking for other electives, my friends had opted for Indian Social Organization and Human Resource Management. Another one of interest was Software Project Management.

If Professor Tanuj is taking your subject (since elective teachers keep changing) you should definitely opt for this elective. His teaching style is probably the best. You will love his class.

If you are planning between these two, NITC CSE is a really good option. They offer cushy packages and decent companies visit the institute.

According to the recent placement report, the highest package offered is INR 49.75 lakhs per annum with an average of INR 11.58 lakhs per annum. A lot of companies like Aakash AESL, Bosch, Nokia, and HDFC visit the college.

When it comes to MNNIT the course curriculum of both IT and CSE is the same and there is no such difference overall. The placements are good too. The highest CTC offered is INR 49 lakhs per annum whereas the average salary is INR 10.28 lakhs per annum. Companies like BYJU, Amazon, and Capgemini hire students regularly from the campus.

Eventually, it boils down to which college meets your needs better. 

MNNIT is the first college to start a B. Tech. program in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) in INDIA. Students here get a 24x7 unlimited internet facility and this is uncommon in many other colleges as they restrict internet usage.

• All boy's hostels except the first year hostel remain open 24×7.
• Chemistry and its professor will remain nightmares for you for the rest of your college life. If your favorite subject was Chemistry in Intermediate then you will never say it after you pass the first year.
• You will feel the changes in yourself as time pass in this college. 

There will be an improvement in your Behaviour, Academic Status, Thinking ability, Interaction ability, Interest. This is all due to the atmosphere of the college.
