The MBA Programme offered by MIT WPU School of Management (PG) is a two-year full-time programme spread across 6 trimesters - The first three trimesters in Year-I and the remaining three trimesters in Year-II. Different courses (subjects) are offered in these trimesters.
In the first two trimesters, courses are common across all specializations.
Trimester-III onwards, students learn courses specific to their respective specialization along with a few general courses which are common.
Colleges invite companies for placements on the basis of the preference list created by the students themselves. This means that the most preferred companies visit in the initial days while the least preferred companies visit towards the end. This eventually means that the last of the batch gets placed by mediocre companies.
Now here is a fact, sometimes the companies visiting at the end in order to get higher preference and attract maximum students, offer high packages that are at par with the preferred companies.
My uncle was a placement coordinator at IIFT a few years ago and gave me an insight into the placement scenario of such B Schools. Numerically speaking if the median salary of a particular B School is X, then the packages offered to the last 59 students would be around 0.6X-0.7X.

Your speed while you are attempting CET or any other exam, depends on three main factors: your knowledge, how quickly you can recall, and how quickly you can convert your knowledge into words and solve problems. The more knowledge you have acquired, the more confident you are at taking risks and not wasting substantial time on trivial questions. For this, you need to have solid basics. Most importantly, give as many mocks as possible because the more questions you have solved, the more the solutions have become a part of your muscle memory.
Writing the GMAT and applying for ISB Hyderabad are both different things. One can sit for GMAT even before gaining any work experience while still in college. GMAT is just one of the many criteria required for ISB Hyderabad admission.
After completing BBA, apply through the Early Entry Option, which is meant for candidates with less than 2 years of work experience.
Although you can apply right after college, you can join ISB Hyderabad only after gaining a work experience of 2 years. With a good GMAT score, you should be able to target a wide range of MIM programs like that of London Business School, HEC Paris, etc.
What’s important is that you know what you want to pursue and are planning to apply early for it.
First of all, you cannot get into FMS through GMAT. Only CAT Scores are accepted by FMS for admission.
Although for Foreign Students (FS), you can get in via GMAT. You should score at least 650.
The merit list shall be prepared on the basis of the total percentile rank and sectional percentile rank scores declared in the result of the CAT. At least a 50 percentile rank score in each section of the CAT is required by a candidate to qualify for being short-listed in Group Discussion and Interview.
Placements are impacted by market conditions of Software companies’ performance of real estate. Placements for MBA depend on more than just gaining theoretical knowledge and good scores. You need to develop soft skills like:
an attitude of gratitude and humility
good communication skills
ability to work in a team
good negotiation
All these factors combined with your own luck and passion determine your placements.
Nowadays MBA has become as common as BCOM. Also the placements for MBA have seen a decrease in figures. Big firms only prefer students from big IIMs or reputed B Schools. So to secure the best package, work real hard and acquire as many skills as possible.
In Canada, the admission circle for MBA starts at least six months before the session commences. Most universities already wrapped up their first round of admission of full-time MBAs, for 2022.
