One of my friends has completed his graduation in the year 2015 from PU. He was planning to apply for a master’s in a foreign country. While searching for colleges, he observed that different countries had different grading point requirements for India. Also, some universities accept the scores in percentage.

International Credential Evaluation and World Education Services offer evaluation of marks for the many USA and Europe Universities. For applying in Canada and Germany, you don’t need to convert your marks to GPA or CGPA.

After the year 2015, PU had started a new grading system for engineering. It is either in CGPA (out of 10) or Grade point (out of 4). One circular has also been issued by PU in the year 2018 about the conversion of CGPA into percent of marks by the following formula.

% of marks = CGPA * 8.80

This is only valid for the students who received their degrees after 2016. For the students who passed in 2015 and under, you will need to contact your college authorities.
