Which is better - Manipal University, Amrita University, VIT or Sastra University for studying CSE?

Among these, Amrita University is better for studying CSE. It has a well-structured campus and offers decent facilities to students. Amrita University placements are good for CSE. Each year around 85% of students get placed through the campus drive. The salary packages offered are in the range of INR 3.5 LPA - 35 LPA. Google, Infosys, Microsoft, etc. are among the major recruiters.

NAAC has ranked SASTRA University number 1 among the technical and state universities in TN, a few years back. If NAAC ranking is to be believed then it is definitely better than VIT, Amrita, and Manipal.

SASTRA takes admission based on merit.
The fees charged are also affordable. For B.Tech the total course fee is 6.20 lakhs. They also offer scholarships like Dean’s Lister.
The placement record of the institute is remarkable. In 2021, the highest CTC offered was 27 LPA. Some of the major recruiters that visited the campus were Amazon, Paypal, IBM, etc.

The faculties and the academic environment at the campus is also great. A CSE degree from SASTRA will be good, for these reasons.

Amrita University has been ranked 20th, SASTRA University has been ranked 37th, Manipal University has been ranked 45th and VIT Vellore has been ranked 15th for Private Engineering by NIRF 2020. SASTRA University is a NAAC ‘A+’ graded university whereas, ‘The University of the year 2016’ and ‘Excellence in Faculty for the year 2017’ has been awarded to VIT by FICCI. All of these four universities are well-reputed and offer decent BTech programs for CSE.

Admission:

For admission to B.Tech, students will have to sit for the JEE entrance test. Alternatively, admission to B.tech programs at Manipal University is done through MET and at VIT is done through VITEEE. Admission to B.Tech programs at Amrita University is done through AEEE.
The prerequisites for admission at all these universities are 10+2 with a minimum of 60% from any recognized boards.
The first-year course fee for BTech CSE at Manipal University, Amrita University, VIT, and SASTRA is respectively 3.19 lakhs, 1.25 lakhs, 1.98 lakhs, and 1.67 lakhs respectively.

Placement:

CSE is among the courses with the highest placement rate at all these institutes. The placement statistics for CSE at these four institutes are as follows.

All the universities are of high repute with renowned alumni associated with them. However, students must scrutinize the four universities taking their choice of interest into consideration.
